Default Google's phone store shutting down

http://www.pcworld.com/article/19633..._business.html

While I admire what they were trying to do, this really was a pretty crappy way to launch the flagship Android device. T-Mobile would have sold the shiz out of this phone if it were available in stores. Hopefully by retail outlets they mean T-Mobile corporate stores.

I'm also VERY anxiously awaiting 2.2. The boost in performance is insane.

Yeah it was a dumb move they should have just launched it for every store that wanted it rather then open there own who thought of that idea lol.

As for the boost performance, from what I've read its crazy!!! check out this from wired http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2010/...-fi-tethering/

A 450% boost (if the Moto can get even 200-400 I'll be happy, its obviously been proven the chip in the phone can run safely between 800-1.3ghz and not fry)

I finally have a flip phone with a camera, having a hard time finding a specific case for it though.

I keed, I keed. If I had Verizon I would probably get a Droid (or, at this point, the Incredible). After using the iPhone for a couple of years and now using the Nexus One, typing is so slow on a physical keypad. I do really like the no frills, industrial look of the Droid though. All of T-Mobile's Motorola Android phones suck, since they have the freakin' Motoblur garbage and are still rockin' 1.5

It's a Cricket A200 CAPTR, tried Amazon, several cellphone stores and the local mall with no luck.

Yeah I never had the Dare enough to adjust fully to the touch keyboard, but if I was going to try it again with any phone the Incredible was going to be it.

I love android if I could have gotten the guts of the incredible in my EnVtouch shell I'd have bent over backwards to get it .

Right Now from what I've used I'd put
1.Iphone OS/phone
1a. Android OS/phones
Everything else.

Although the touchpro2 from htc was as good a WM product as I've used in along time but now that phone resides under a coffee table in the basement lmao (500 bucks well spent )

Gosh look at this nexus benchmarks
http://www.droid-life.com/2010/05/12...ng-benchmarks/

Quote:
To help us all realize exactly how fast it really is, I downloaded the Linpack app on both my Motorola Droid and Droid Incredible and ran the same benchmark test. Here are the results:

Motorola Droid (DarkEdge theme at 600Mhz) – 4.728 MFLOPS
Droid Incredible (Stock) – 7.012 MFLOPS

OK, now take a look back to the top of the post and then gather yourself. Yes, it definitely says that Froyo packed in 37.593 MFLOPS. You are speechless right?
Ian helps explain the background of Linpack and MFLOPS…
37.593 MFLOPS!!!!!!!!

I just did my Linpack and got 4.561 (straight stock)

If your father's phone is bluetooth enabled then it shouldn't be a problem about compatibility.

Since you wrote that I've been googling like mad and nothings coming up, but I also checked the schedule and it doesn't seem to say anything about it

You are so lucky that you'll get 2.2 real quick with that nexus .

I might download opera just after listening to this guy lol (make sure I get my money out of the 29.99 data plan lol, I'm already at 149mb used in a week.)

That Chrome web store for programs looks sweet.

I, too, was really hoping my Nexus would see some 2.2 love by the end of today. One site (some small site) is saying that 2.2 won't be out til June, but the site is pretty rinky dink, and they're also saying that the June date was announced at I/O, which obviously isn't the case. So . . . still hoping for tomorrow.
