That's pretty easy. Don't do 5x7 prints. lol. Print your own from your printer. Just make sure your printer prints a good enough quality and you use glossy paper. You can always go to kinkos or some place like that. I'll try to make a print template out. Basically print like a 6x7 or bigger and cut it around the corners so it fit perfectly inside the steelbook.

These are my latest ones:
The Departed [Show spoiler] Wrath of the Titans: [Show spoiler] V for Vendetta [Show spoiler] The Dark Knight Rises: Had 4 different ones set up, but couldn't decide so had friend decide for me [Show spoiler] Think I may do the Total Recall one next and attempt my first spine. |

That Dark Knight one looks awesome dude, but a little constructive criticism on the others. It looks like you didn't print the artwork wide enough to fit the steelbook perfectly. I don't know if you're happy with that. I find that the perfect width is right about 5.27 inches. If you're gonna attempt a spine, I would recommend buying a really cheap steelbook first and practicing, like one of the best buy steels. I bought a Twilight steelbook at a local discount store for $7.00 and plan on practicing with that.

Just recently picked up the Bourne Legacy and the spine is a little misaligned. I'm thinking about changing the inner artwork and making this my first spine as well. For those of you who have done spines successfully, what do you recommend as a bonding agent once you're ready to reattach it? Should I use an old-fashioned glue stick? How is the hold? Some on here have used rubber cement. Does it work better?

All of these customized artworks really are truly incredible... They, actually, look like something that was bought at an, actual, movie store or something - incredible!!!! I have a question though, where did you get your artwork from?...

http://www.themoviedb.org/ (find a movie and go to "back drops") I believe the hi-res dimensions are 900x555. But, of course you have the spine that should be cut-out. See here: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...152016&page=34 I'll attach one here for reference. |
