Take alligator out of the equation . Sylvie---there's nothing Loki could have done to have been BORN a female, she was pruned as an adolescent. She is NOT a "variant" of our Loki but someone from a complete different reality/timeline/universe.

Now mwynn helped me to understand a little bit better because it's easy to think the show is trying to say there is only "ONE sacred timeline" when apparently HWR was allowing other universes to exist.

So Sylvie was a variant of something her timeline's Sylvie should have done. She was a Sylvie variant.

Unless I'm still completely not understanding at all.
Sylvie is one of the easier variants to explain. One wrong jiggle of Laufey's big blue ice balls mid orgasm and you get female Loki instead of male Loki.

But that's not my point. She wasn't pruned the instant it was going to be a girl, she and her universe lived on for at least ten years. She was her own person, not a variant of "our" Loki.

Well depends on picky you want to be on what makes Prime Loki.
A Loki that lives the same life as Prime Loki but sneezes one time more than Prime Loki is just as much a variant on their own timeline as a Loki who is also, say...a monster truck.

Yes....LokiGator was very cool. A better storyline would have had the whole series the same way, then Loki wakes up.
Everyone here trying to apply logic to the series is far more entertaining than the series itself.

Cannot wait for this. We have been spoiled by the MCU.

He Who Remains

Quote:
“Eons ago, before the TVA, a variant of myself lived on Earth in the 31st Century. He was a scientist, and he discovered that there were universes stacked on top of his own. At the same time, other versions of us were learning the same thing.”

“Not every version of me was so pure of heart. To some of us, new worlds only meant one thing: New lands to be conquered. The peace between realities erupted into all-out war, each variant fighting to preserve their universe and annihilate the others.”

“That first variant encountered a creature created from all the tears in reality, capable of consuming time and space itself. I weaponized Alioth and I ended the Multiversal War. Once I isolated our timeline, all I had to do was manage the flow of time and prevent further branches.”
Quote:
”What’s the worst that can happen? You either take over and my life’s work continues, or you plunge a blade in my chest and an infinite amount of me start another Multiversal War. And I just end up right back here anyways. Reincarnation, baby.”

Adam and Eve. Eating the apple was the clue.
Time is a circle. He who remains is the beginning and the end. Breaking those barriers. Opening doors that were never supposed to be opened.

Well that rules out the rumor that it was already shot but just divided up into two seasons.

Default 5/5 Stars!

well, i really enjoyed the first season of Loki. it was amazing with "Glorious Purpose!" there was never a moment when i wasn't engaged with the show and every episode kept me wanting more. every episode answered questions and always posed more questions. and the finale ending had that great twist that i didn't see coming.

all characters had their time in the sun, a few did shine brighter than others, but, nobody was truly left out. Hiddleston really showed us that he has amazing range in those acting chops (and that amazing mane! ).

season 2 looks to have all the potential in the world as far as directions to go, i can't wait to be taken on another amazing ride in the dark and creepy tunnel of a show.

can't forget this, Natalie Holt, what an amazing find for Marvel Studios. She better be doing the score for not only Season 2 of Loki, but, they better give her a big movie for Marvel Studios to Score.

who knew back in "The Avengers", the term "Glorious Purpose" would ascend to such heights!?!
