It's odd, why put gatekeepers up there? If Bungie didn't want you to get up there then why leave in geometry that lets you get there in the first place?

My mate came up with a theory that maybe the hard raid will incorporate the third floor, and the doors that lead no where now will actually act as a teleporter.

Either that or they changed the mechanics of the Crota encounter before the game came out but left the code in the game. Just seems like a waste of time on there part to put something like that in for no reason, especially since you couldn't really benefit at all from being up there to begin with.

We may have to deal with 6 or 8 Boomers or double the amount of sward bearers in hard mode.

I wonder if you'll have to kill the Swordbearers to get a sword to kill the Gatekeepers to get a sword to kill Crota. Hmm...
