@desmondconner: Paul Pasqualoni has been fired as #UConnFootball coach.

UConn was 0-4 with double-digit losses to Towson, Maryland, and Buffalo and a close loss to Michigan.

Mack Brown might be next when they get smoked by OU again in two weeks. Earl Campbell and Rickey Williams calling for him to get fired too.

I don't see Mack Brown getting fired during the season. He's done too much for Texas to get dropped during the season. Maybe he'll announce he's stepping down after the season, but DeLoss Dodds isn't the kind of AD to can a long-term coach mid-year. I think this will be Mack's final year, but I don't see him getting fired, I think they'll let him say it was his choice and give him a job inside the athletic department, even though it will be clear he's truly being fired.

Dodds is gone at end of year, says he's stepping down but I think we know it's not his choice. Guess who's next?

Apparently this was SportsCenter's top play of Saturday and number 2 of the week. It was also declared the top college football play of the week by Yahoo

Edit: My school apparently doesn't know shows....

Due to the government shut down Saturday's Navy-Air Force game might not be played.

Hours after the government shutdown Tuesday morning, officials from the Naval Academy Athletic Association and Air Force Academy Athletics Department were not sure how it would impact the service academies’ football game at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is set for 11:30 a.m. and CBS is scheduled to broadcast the game.

Troy Garnhart, associate athletic director for Air Force, said there was a chance the game could not be played.

“It is a possibility,” Garnhart said.

Franklin is also a scum bag. Very shady and may have improved Vandy's football program but at what cost? Nothing like rape to say you're part of the SEC.

Wasn't Del Rio offered the job before Kiffin last time and turned it down? As for Gruden I'd say no chance. His name comes up for EVERY big job it seems and he's turned every one down for years. There's no reason to believe he wants to give up his cushy gig for coaching.
