Seriously. He gets paid probably just as well (if not better) than he would as a coach and has none of the stress. Not to mention he can actually have a life from February to August.

Found a site that lists him as making $4.3 million/year. Kiffin was making $2.6 million/year.

Claims of a Spurrier being drunk on his coaches show after the UCF win. Show was taken off line. What do you think? Why all the slurring?

Coach Slurrier. Check out the 12 and 16 minute marks. He's hammered. What an embarrassment to most but a hero to those losers.

How does the alleged rape by four football players make Franklin a scum bag? It's not like any of the accused had criminal backgrounds and Franklin and the school were very proactive with disciplining the accused by dismissing them from the team before they were even indicted, and then dismissing their second-leading receiver after he agreed to a misdemeanor plea bargain for helping cover up the crime. There's plenty of coaches that wouldn't have dismissed one of their best players for a misdemeanor that brought no jail time.

I've seen a thousand Spurrier interviews and none were like this. He was drunk for sure.

He is well known to be a great "recruiter" and a little shady. How many rapes have you heard of from Vandy's before him? The type of kids he's bringing in to Vandy is not a Vandy type kid. If you want to win sometimes you let character slide. He needs to be watched much like Petrino needed/needs to be watched. Trouble will follow him, just wait, there will be other "things" that happen at Vandy.

I don't get why these top-tier coaches go there. I'm sorry but you just aren't going to win national championships at South Carolina. Both Holtz and Spurrier tried and both had similar results - season after season of 3 to 7 losses.

Spurrier should have just returned to the Gators after his NFL debacle. He's probably have about 3 national titles by now and be regarded as one of the best college coaches of all-time.

I think he got roped into that dump by getting a membership at Augusta National. Hell, I'd go there for that.
