If there are serious faults with the picture quality, I'll be pretty angry that Lucas focused his attention in the wrong areas.
Trouble is again, like the R2 scene, once you are inside the door looking back out, when Luke enters for example, the door has reverted back to the smaller, original door.

This is what @simonpegg has to say about the changes:

"Always loved Vader's wordless self sacrifice. Another shitty, clueless, revision like Greedo and young Anakin's ghost. What a fu**ing shame."

The problem I have with the lightsabers is they look completely different within two minutes of each other. One looks like it has ragged edges like a sword thats been used and been chipped (which Luke has his thumb in), the other is a perfect green stick. Which moves about the hilt like its floating. I can't believe a professional artist did the effect when you see people on YouTube doing better.

Not one person would have complained about the changes if they'd included the original theatrical versions.

Oh I see my mistake. Well I still have the DVDs with the laserdisc versions as special features discs. And the VHS versions from way back when. I'm still happy to pick up the complete saga. I cant get them until 3 days after release anyway so I should be able to find them sub £55 fingers crossed.

The BBFC confirmed that the uncut version has been submitted to the BBFC for classification.

Thank you for your enquiry.

"An uncut version of ATTACK OF THE CLONES has recently been submitted to the BBFC for classification. As far as I am aware, there are currently no plans to submit an uncut version of INDIANA JONES AND THE TEMPLE OF DOOM. You may wish to contact the work's distributor for information about their products."

It's probably a bit soon for Indy. 1m6s was cut from the film all the way back in the 80's and it hasn't been re-submitted.

Strange that. Lucas seems to have had a vision with every release since 1997. Any news on separate releases for the extras discs??? That's all I'm after now. F*ck him and his saga!!!!!!!!

Seriously, the lightsabers are so inconsistent and I know Lucas himself has a "Han shot first" t-shirt. It puzzles me why those things weren't changed and Lucas thought it was neccessary to put some rocks infront of R2 and add that retarded "noooooooo" in ROTJ.

Still, we have to accept that this is Lucas' vision, these are his films and he can do what he wants unfortunatly. I'm not going to jump on the "I'm cancelling my pre-order" bandwaggon, instead I'm really anxious to experience the whole saga in HD, I think we're going to be in for a real treat.
'You will pay the price for your lack of vision'

With Lucas we might have to work it around a bit and say 'You will pay the price for your change of vision'

This is meant totally in jest but if Lucas was in charge of a country which had Star Wars merchandise growing off trees, rebels would have tried to overthrow him by now. And we'd have helped because those Star Wars movies are a great resource! Everyone loves a good rebel uprising!

I don't know whether to laugh or cry at the changes. I honestly wouldn't have cared less if the originals were including with them but that Vader "No!" and lets not forget it's two of those f**kers that's been inserted not one and Obi-Wan's hilarious yell makes my testicles shrivel up....

There's a rumour now that for an extra fiver Storm Troopers will come over to our houses break our shit and fart in our faces before they leave.

It's called the Limited Emissions Edition. But I've heard that stinks as well.

Wonder how many will actually stick to their guns on this one and cancel pre-orders?

100% me for sure.

What pisses me off about these changes, is not the fact that they are changes, but the fact that they are executed so poorly.

I couldn't care less about replacing the puppet from TPM to CGI, or adding "Nooo" in ROTJ.

What annoys me, is the lack of continuity. Lucas claims to want all six films to be matched up...

Well, the first problem there is that using an old 2K scan for the OT and the digital files for AOTC and ROTS is going to show a very noticeable shift in PQ which wouldn't be so apparent if they rescanned the OT to at least 4K.

Secondly, those videos of the rip released earlier have shown that "improving" things in one shot (ie the R2 shot of him hiding behind the rocks), have not had any real care or attention put into them.

Because a few moments later, those rocks hiding R2 have mysteriously disappeared.

The same idea for Jabba's door, large and "improved" in one shot, and then back to normal size in a later shot.

If Lucas is so supposedly "hands-on", then why are these changes and "improvements" so half-assed?

Thirdly, if he is so concerned about having a perfect six film saga, then why doesn't he just go all out and redo and touch up all of the CG in all six films?

I could on but I can't be bothered. I'm sure I'll be shot down for all of this anyway :P

Why should you be shot down? If they change one thing and it appears thirty seconds later and it hasn't been changed then who the hells in charge of continuity?

If they want to mess around with things fine but mess around with them consistently or don't bother.

It doesn't bother me all these CGI changes or different camera shots. But over dubbing is a step too far in my opinion. I'm pretty pissed off. I don't know if Lucas does it intentionally (With the Han shot first t-shirt) He just doesn't seem to care about his fans, which for me is pretty embarrassing.

Ah, I said the shot down thing because I meant to say that I wished the puppet in the OT was replaced with CGI too.
