Being behind her? The video I watched he just kept hopping back and to her tail a bit and was fine. I'll get to her tomorrow night and see if I also have a hard time with her.

Trying to catch up to you guys in the dungeons, but I'm stuck. I don't have the material for the Defiled dungeon, and I had to give up on Bloodletting Beast for now. There was no worthwhile loot in that dungeon, yet. LOL!. It's the Beast Possessed Soul where I'm stuck. I really look forward to the BLB. The room I got my boss in is not ideal compared to some I see.

Headed toward Hemwick Channel, and the wooded area with all of the gunners was odd. Demon dogs instead of regular dogs and additional two legged demonic enemies with sickles. Don't know if that's an insight thing or NG+ thing. I otherwise have not noticed anything insight related. I was at 99 but spent some for ritual materials.

I tried the face route. Keeping distance. My best was getting the boss down to 1/3.

I think I need a new strategy if attacking from behind works. Every time I went behind, she jumped & squished me. Insta death.

Interesting about the character changes in NG+

To farm Blood Crap 4 go to Layer 3 of Lower Pthumerian & start running to the open above area where the first bell ringer is there. As you cross the middle section you'll run into those guys that carry bags. 9/10 drops a Blood Crap 4

The other material which is more rare is in the Ailing Loran Chalice Dungeon. You don't have to complete the whole dungeon but have to find the Bastard of Loran material. I found it in a chest.

Gonna take a few more stabs at Amygdala. I have a bunch of weapons that are +9. I wish I had the Beast Claw at that level. Quite sure I could rip her face apart.

About to fight her right now.

Sadly, like a fool I sold some blood gems I felt I didn't need because I don't like clutter. I didn't read carefully but two of the new gems I used both lower my weapon durability about 45%...each... I was too focused on seeing they both increased my damage %.

I need to look up where to farm some better gems.

Wait until she rips of her other arms and is holding them as weapons. My first attempt I almost had her. Just stay behind one of her legs and when she lifts it up a little jump back to avoid getting stepped on, then go in for a hit and be ready for the next time she lifts up her leg. At that point if she does do one of those huge jumps it should be away from you. I just stood still and ran after her when she landed.

Edit: Just beat her on third try. Once she rips off her arms stay behind her and dodge back from her feet, eventually she just kept jumping and she jumps away. I'll try to upload my video but it's a fairly long fight because I took my time.

I never went through all her changes in story mode. In fact I slaughtered her before she even used lasers.

You're right the tail is the finisher.

Um PowerPyx vids forgot to mention a Dungeon that is required to get to the Dungeon with the Queen because you need Red Jelly x4

I looked it up & see you have to almost complete The Great Isz Chalice Dungeon as the other 2 Red Jelly's are in layer 3.

Is there a guide for what level you should be to tackle the various bosses? I'm working on the 2nd one but I'm only level 22 or 23 and want to make sure I'm not wasting my time (and resources) on something above my level. I seem to do okay until he changes.

This link will tell you when PowePyx took them on. If you try a bunch of times and can't beat him, ring your blue bell. All of these bosses are easy with a co-op partner, as long as the partner is not a moron getting killed immediately. Do you have the music box? It could make things easier. One thing in that fight is that it is variable when he transforms. If he transforms earlier, you're through. If he's 75% dead first, your good. Then you can play the music box as soon as he transforms, run over and nearly kill him. Then you just need a couple more hits.

Thanks for the link and info. Yeah, I have the music box and tried using it (before he changes) but didn't try it after he transforms.

Man, when he changes form he's very annoying. Reading that guy's description, it sounds so simple but I can't even get away from him long enough to try anything once he transforms. This last time, I had it work out really nicely too with him not transforming until his health was very depleted but that's pretty much it. Once he transforms, I can't get far enough away to even activate the music box. He kills me while I'm trying to or when I'm trying to switch to something else. I'm at a higher level than the guy in the link was and my weapon has been upgraded some so I guess I'll just keep trying...

Man, this game is kicking my ass, but it's so rewarding. I tried Blood Starved Beast 10 times on Thursday and used all my fire paper, molotovs, and whatnot. On Friday, I summoned Alfred to help and somehow he stayed alive for the whole thing and the only thing I had to consume for the entire fight was one blood vial. He never focused his attacks on me; guess I got lucky. So, I finally got him and now Vicar Amelia is giving me trouble. Should I go for the Hemlock area first?

I was not able to beat him in NG, only NG+. As soon as I entered the area, I ran up the steps and parried/riposted him or dodged until he transformed. There was time to play the music box a single time, whereupon I was able to get him within a sliver of death. I had to co-op him in NG.

What condition is required to get Alfred to help? One thing I thought missing from this game was NPC's as co-op partners. Souls had whole NPC story lines requiring you to co-op with them.

I just talked to him when he was praying and went through all the speech options. There is a note near BSB about using a bell if you need help and I rang the resonant bell right over the note.
