Yes. I have the Kino, decided to go for the Arrow and was very happy with the results.

Wow! I just ordered this Blu-ray by mistake. I put in a cancellation request.

I played the German import tonight. I think I'll just stick with it and not buy the Arrow 4K at all.

I have the Kino 4K, but I just bought the Arrow Blu-ray Deluxe Edition off eBay for the box, poster and booklet. I missed out on the 4K Limited Edition from Arrow but since the Blu-ray set has the same thing basically, I got me one to have the nice set. Like $42 total. Not bad.

You could have bought that same item from orbitdvd for under $30. They have them in stock still. I ordered one by accident just yesterday but was able to get the order cancelled before shipment.

I didn't think of that. After shipping it would've came to $35 and I would have saved $7 but oh well.

Did not come with one. It’s my only Kino without a slip and it’s going to bug me.

For some unknown reason I thought this was the Invasion of the Body Snatchers 1956 thread and I was thinking that would have to be a really short lived slipcover, but seeing as how this is the 1978 version I understand now.

Necroposting, but I thought I'd make some tone-mapped comparisons between the Arrow and Kino FEL encodes. With tone-mapped screenshots, it should be understood that the colors are not the focus. Instead, pay attention to the compression and details.

Even with the FEL on the Kino the Arrow just murderises it

(And, again, is a reminder to some that mediocre compression can leech off the grain just as surely as DNR can)

Yeah Arrow was the clear winner here. And it looks that much better in motion as well.

All around just wipes the floor with the Kino.
