Monster House.

Actually quite scary at first even for us older kids. It began to drag a bit after the juvenile humor took over but as the story developed it rebounded back to a highly entertaining animation flick.

Very good use of 3D.

Extremely late to the party on this one, but picked up and had a good look at Jurassic Park today - All I can say is..... wow. I was not expecting such a terrific conversion, the 3D is basically immaculate. Extremely little to no ghosting, fairly bright, very detailed and as smooth as Megan Fox's bottom. Great stuff.

Watched Jupiter Ascending 3D.

I'll start with the good stuff, PQ and 3D were very nice. No tweaks needed.

There are some amazing sights to be seen here, especially later in the movie.

The story is sort of Dune meets Game of Thrones, but with alot of problems.

Jupiter has the 'Princess Peach Syndrome' and has to be rescued constantly.

Over the course of the movie, this becomes very repetitive (she's just too helpless).

The love story also feels forced and out of place in all this backstabbing mayhem.

This movie actually makes Valerian and Fantastic Beasts look good.

I really enjoyed Jupiter Ascending. I did laugh out loud and cringe at Channing tatum sky skating....

but i loved the visuals, and i enjoyed the story and the characters including the secondary characters.

I loved the scene in front of the houise with the bees. It looked like a bee flew from the right side of my room and made its way into the movie . IT was awesome.

One thing that did make me laugh was the ship taking off in the corn field and leaving behind crop circles...that was almost funny.

And those bees did look good in 3D.

Hadn't watched these since seeing them both in theaters. I have quite the backlog of movies to watch. Still waiting on T2 and Valerian 3D's to show up.

I thought that bit with the crop circles was a very clever and witty visual gag. For such a serious movie it could've benefited from more stuff like that. I did also like the sequence where Jupiter tries to claim her title and has to deal with loads of bureaucratic red tape.

Did you? I bought it but havent watched it yet because ....well because of work of mouth. I should give it a watch though . I remember it had negative feedback for having white actors playing egyptians. I personally dont care.

I was able to hit top menu on my Panasonic and got it to play in 3d with Atmos!
I’m so stoked! Just to show I’m not pulling anyone’s leg, here’s a picture.

I may not be able to watch it tonight, I’m going to see The Disaster Artist. I hope this isn’t a fluke.

Law1212
An Atmos capable receiver and depending on which setup you use, a secondary amp. There are upfiring modules that simulate overhead sound, but I think in ceiling speakers are more effective.

Dolby Atmos is like the voice of God above from the surround sound audio bible. ...Charlie Chaplin - The Great Dictator.

You need a minimum of two speakers above, or two that project sound above on the reflecting ceiling, a receiver with Dolby Atmos decoder, a movie on Blu-ray 4K encoded with Atmos audio; very few 1080p and 3D have it, because Atmos is the audio incentive part to buy 4K, ...it's funny though because they include the normal Blu-ray in the 4K packaging, which we have to pay for this unneeded obsolete incomplete disk, and that's it because your Blu-ray player can send Atmos when bitstreaming from the HDMI connection. But you also need a new 4K player because Atmos is mainly on those 4K BR disks.

And, a new 4K TV would be preferable.

See, you don't need that much to be immersed today with Atmos.
And, new 4K TVs, forget it about 3D, it's dead dead dead. Because, the Hollywood movie studios always forget to include Atmos on them 3D Blu-ray disks. Must be a slip from someone always sleeping @ the controls.

Cheers,
