To go into Penn St and beat them is more impressive than IU's win at home... Last edited by walruswarrior; 10-07-2013 at 05:43 PM. |

Mississippi has an extremely weird remaining schedule this year. Their first 3 conference games of the season were on the road so they only have 1 remaining road game this season. They have home games on 6 consecutive Saturdays (4 conference games, 2 cupcake out-of-conference) before their final road game at Mississippi State. Their final time out of the state of Mississippi was on October 5 at Auburn.

It's impossible to get a read on how good Louisville is considering they've played a garbage schedule. My best guess is that if Louisville were in the ACC this season they'd be something like a 9-3 type team. They'll probably go 12-0 or 11-1 this regular season since they play zero top-25 teams.

I won't go as far as to say Louisville sucks, but they have been very unimpressive the last couple weeks. Last night probably ended any chance of them making the title game. The computers were already going to hurt them due to their strength of schedule (Jerry Palm projects that their average computer ranking right now would be 19th) so they needed the voters to move them up, but I'm sure a lot of voters were watching the game and could definitely see them moving teams like Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Miami, UCLA, and LSU ahead of Louisville in the next rankings.
