Be careful. I saw it in my local bin yesterday, but the audio was lossy (Dolby Digital 5.1, and the full retail version has Dolby Atmos). It seems that Lionsgate is watering down the audio on these, as well as their rentals...

Has anybody seen The Strangers in their bins recently? I thought I had seen it in there in the past month or so, and of course I wanted to pick it up before the new one comes out next week, but I haven't seen it in any of the 4 Walmarts in my area. Would they have pulled it from the bins in light of Shout's special edition? I have seen other titles that have been in the bins since before Halloween, just not this one.

Does anyone have a UPC (or whatever the code is called) for The Fog / The Howling? My local Walmart is apparently never gonna re-fill the bin...I want to check for stock on Brickseek before I waste a trip going to other Walmarts.

Thank you so much!

It looks like my local Walmart doesn't have The Fog / The Howling (or Yor, which I checked simply because someone else linked to the Brickseek listing for it already, not because I actually want it), so I wonder if they're getting rid of the bin at my closest location?

Thankfully, the "other" Walmart does seem to have The Fog / The Howling, so I'll be making a trip there this weekend hopefully.

FYI the double feature is barebones on one disc. That would be a deal breaker for some.

Irrc I think I have the Scream ones in my collection. For those that don't want the extra features this isn't a bad deal I would guess.

They need to hurry up and release the 2005 version. Cough cough Maggie Grace....

Wal-Mart

Picked up The Butterfly Effect DF, and John Woo's The Killer, today. No IW.

They had several copies of Yor with slips, and the Howling / Fog DF. I'm half tempted to get it, switch to a 2-disc case, and put the SF CE discs in it just to consolidate, since I don't have the slips anyway.

Ugh. The Fog remake is one of the worst remakes, and one of the worst horror films period, in recent memory.

Agree! Maggie Grace couldn't save that movie, even if she was running around the whole time naked.

If you like Maggie Grace, check this out:

Both were in the bin in the past (but almost definitely aren't anymore). I actually returned the standalone Lockout (still unopened) for the two-pack when that showed up in the bin, haha.

I feel like I have Lock Out but not 100% sure lol. I know I have Battle LA. I remember I lost the digital copies of them from my Vudu locker. Maybe have to pick up the Double Pack if it has the IW.

The $7.88 price makes me wonder if it's bound for the bin.

It's a great film with innovative camera work and some Expressionist elements. It won Oscars for best actress, best cinematography and "best unique and artistic production." The review on this site does it more justice than I could. I never would have expected to find this at Wal Mart.

Also saw this at my store (Harrisonburg/Dayton, Virginia). I second the recommendation.

I haven’t seen it mentioned yet, but WalMart seems to be doing a large re-stock at stores in my area. It seems to be mostly Paramount double features, I noticed Naked Gun 1 & 2, Wayne’s World 1 & 2, Airplane 1 & 2 among others.

Check your collection right here on the site. You're a mod. You should know this!

Yeah, mine had that too. That Waynes World set isn't even listed on this site, is it that new??? I was just so happening to look for those films on the cheap this month.

I held off on Naked Gun and Crocodile Dundee, as both sets ignored the 3rd films. Probably gonna pick up the Airplane one.

They have a Tomb Raider one too, but it's $14.99, when all these others are 5 bucks cheaper.
