Groot no need for name calling, and lowering yourself to Vilya's level. Just because I am a firm believer in Hard Wire, especially Streaming to your UHD TV, but you're right it could be a Server problem. I just don't have any problem with any Streaming Provider. I did have a 4K Streaming problem with Vudu, but it turned out to be their new Android 4K App and they fixed it.

I had ordered some hard copies of stuff on Blu-ray & DVD from a transport enthusiast hobby film site from the UK recently. When I ordered my hard copies; it had no streaming service available for customers by paying with a monthly subscription. That didn't matter obviously; this type of stuff is very niche in that it probably wouldn't attract enough demand for stuff to be paid for by the general public.
The site that I'm referring to from the UK is called Video125.com. It offers independently made public transport films for DVD, Blu-ray & download. The website looks very nice as it got redesigned recently a few months ago. Titles are offered in Blu-ray, DVD or download once you order them from the site. Not all of them have a Blu-ray option for every title being sold. In these cases a DVD or SD download will be enough for most current sales of titles. All of their Blu-rays & DVD are offered with no region codes attached. I own four Irish railway titles from this site for a few years. What I'm trying to say here is not everywhere imaginable that offers you home video entertainment will not offer everything that you ask for including streaming services. Downloads may be the only option if you want to watch something on your device. |

You repeat multitudinous fallacies that have been disproved innumerable times by several forum members. You refuse to cease with your nonsense despite multiple forum members asking you to stop. There are only three possibilities why someone would behave this way: 1) They are mentally challenged and unable to learn. 2) They behave in a manner whose sole purpose is to provoke a response: they are a troll. The less bright of the troll population simply repeat themselves because they lack the creativity of a troll with greater mental capacity. They are a slow abrasive and a persistent irritant. When the troll gets the inevitable comeuppance that he so richly deserves, he becomes the victim. He does this because he can not defend his behavior, so he instead blames everyone else. Rinse and repeat. 3) Both points 1 and 2 apply. Point 3 applies to you, a not very gifted troll who retreats into his victimhood whenever he gets rightfully rebuked. If you did not spend your retirement incessantly badgering people with your colossally incorrect and endlessly repeated posts all the while disregarding requests to stop, maybe then you would be treated with some respect? Streaming in 4K only utilizes an average bitrate of 16Mbps. Streaming providers recommend 25+ Mbps. Both types of networks are easily capable of delivering speeds several times greater than that requirement. Both network types deliver the full 16 Mbps from the content provider; both perform the SAME. You get all of the data in both instances. A lobotomized lemur could grasp this fact. An 802.11ac router can deliver speeds of 1,300 Mbps over the 5Ghz band up to 100 meters. That exceeds the bandwidth of the unshielded and outdated Cat 5/ Cat 5e ethernet cable you are using and that you still recommend that people use. ![]() Anyone who knows anything about wired home networks would not use, nor would they recommend, using unshielded cable. An unshielded cable is vulnerable to interference. Cat 6a ethernet cable, or beyond, has been the standard for years. Just more proof of how precious little you know. An 802.11ac router can deliver speeds of 450 Mbps over the 2.4 Ghz band. That is 18 times the recommended speed from all major streaming providers. 18 Times! The only potential concern for a wireless network is signal interference from external influences. If any of us experienced such interference it would affect ALL streaming sources, not just one. This is the other fundamental point you just can not comprehend. We have not been having network connection problems; we have been having problems with ONE, and only ONE, specific content provider. You are not being criticized for being wrong once. You are being criticized for continuing to be wrong and for repeating your misinformation despite all of the evidence shown to you by several of our forum members. You are being criticized for not dropping the subject after having been politely asked to do so more than once by more than one person- this is the behavior of a troll. I am just one of many who have toiled in futility attempting to explain these subjects to you. ![]() I even read your moronic comments verbatim to a software engineer, who is employed as a CIO, and he labelled you an idiot because on this subject you have proven that fact abundantly and with your own words. I also read them to a systems programmer responsible for our local university's mainframe and he seconded the CIO's assessment. [Show spoiler] ^Read this part closely: "Pros of 802.11ac - Fastest maximum speed and best signal range; on par with standard wired connections." From: https://www.lifewire.com/wireless-st...02-11ac-816553 dated Aug. 20, 2018. All of this has been proven with several citations and from SEVERAL people. The only thing you have lost more than this argument is your freakin' mind. Last edited by Vilya; 09-03-2018 at 01:11 PM. |

I know people like their Wireless, and I'm not saying anything bad about it just which one is better. If you don't have any problems with Wireless go for it, but if you have a choice Wired is better and Cat5e goes up to a Gigabit in real time. Here is another Link talking about the two:

The stuff that I ordered from Video125.com came in by post just now. The Chiltern bubble cars blu-ray I ordered from them comes in those slim amaray cases that you guys get in the states. The DVD is just a regular clear case. I'm gonna watch these now a TV. I see you later.

It is a mystery to some of us that you can not grasp the fact that 16Mbps is a relative low data rate and should be easily handled by even old wireless systems. |

Personally, I haven't worn a watch in years. No need as I carry a phone with me. And I'm retired; time means little to me now.
I do not care if other people choose to wear a watch, smart or not. I will take exception if you predict that wearing any watch will mean the end of TVs, movies, pizza, or anything else I enjoy. It also looks like you are aiming to have your posts moved again into a new thread. The community's reaction to your vertical framed content prediction was so warmly received that I can see why you would want to start another one. ![]() |
