Here is my very first attempt at a cover, Any thoghts? Should I continue with it? I am tryin too emmulate (sp?) runnersdialzero's Criterion style with the simplistic back with no images.

Well, the first problem I see (and runnersdialzero) does it too) is you've seriously stretched the title treatment on the spine. It looks bad on his, and on this. There's no reason to stretch it beyond all recognition.

Fix the "white" on the poster (it's got a blue tint) and around the title on the back to match the true white on the rest of the cover.

Ok ill see if i can whiten those up. i am using mspaint for covers so i am very limited in what i can do. i am mostly making these for myself and to extend upon what runnersdialzero has started wit.h his criterion covers

Threw together a PROMETHEUS cover detailing the two non-3D discs in the Collector's Edition, since I'm selling off my 3D/DVD/DC. Took the "white border" cue from the IMAX poster. Also designed an 8-page booklet detailing the disc contents.

The thin 3-disc case that is just a sliver thicker than a regular blu-ray case. The Manila folder Bonds are just a standard Blu-ray case size.

Yikes...I need to edit my signature -- which is a very good thing.

Great first try mate!!

Only a few nitpicks. You need to left justify the specs section. Also, I would make the year a tad bigger in the Criterion box. Also, I would do a color other than black in the Criterion box. Black just seems too boring for such a crazy movie.

Btw, I use the font Sans Bold for the criterion number, the year and the specs. I use it for the synopsis and special features as well but those are definitely up to you.

Also, I edit with Gimp for PC. Which is a free program.

Thanks for the pointers. All I actually did was take your 2001 cover and erase the stuff that pertained to 2001 and started there. I plan on changing the color for the criteion box as soon as I can. I might try and do a different cover as my first, thinking maybe Menace II Society.

Nice work, but why does KOTCS say the full title on the back, while the others omit "Indiana Jones &"?

Not sure what you are seeing, but none of the backs say "Indiana Jones and the... " including Crystal Skull back. They all only say the episode title on the back. Unless Im missing something from going blind staring at the computer screen for so long.

edit - I think that was an old duplicate file preview. Tried to prevent that, but I think I used that file name in a trial preview of the new backs. I fixed it with a new file name.

first atempt at a Criterion cover... tried to keep it simple and clean. I re-edited my movie to include the extended ending and deleted scenes, so I called it the director's cut.

Great job on this! I'm looking for Prometheus art right now for one I will be making.

My only nitpick is why is the title on the spine so low. It should be near the top.

Once you get some editing software, you can download the Criterion template on Customaniacs. Will make everything soooo much easier.

Hey guys! I purchased pirates of the Caribbean the curse of the black pearl Blu-ray combo-pack, but receive the dvd Blu-ray pack. I have tried to find a Blu-ray cover, but can’t find a scan of the combo-pack one. Does anyone have a scan they could send me? Also are there any custom covers for these movies?
