I am surprised Louisville is such a big favorite over UCF. The spread is about 10.5. I was thinking more like a TD spread. I mean we were only about 7 point dogs to South Carolina, even if that one was at home. I want UF to win, but I'm expecting we probably lose, just not by double-digits.

I saw Brad Edwards projections for next week's BCS rankings. He has Louisville at #9. Honest question, how high do we need to be in order to play in the Orange Bowl?

It has nothing to do with ranking, it's purely based on the order of bowl selection and who the bowls think will sell the most tickets and result in the biggest TV numbers. Last year's Sugar Bowl got decent TV ratings and Louisville sold most of their ticket allotment so they're a fairly attractive team, but there's a lot of factors that will come into play when choosing teams for BCS bowls that make it impossible to do anything more than make a semi-educated guess at who will be in the games.

Well as far as tickets go smaller conference schools often outsell larger schools for bowl games. I believe Louisville sold their entire allotment to last year's BCS game while Florida didn't even come close to selling theirs.

Charlie Strong announced earlier today that this Friday night's game against UCF will be a red out.

Last week was my very first night game, I think I'll enjoy night games!
