Thank you guys for the welcome. I was impressed enough that I've ordered around 20 titles in the last few days. Hopefully they will all be well worth it. It didn't hurt that (like you mentioned) many many titles available at really low prices! My average cost is around $10 per title at this point.

Yes, in my best Vampire impersonation, " the infection has begun." And yes, Joey D. is right, you can find so many good deals on ebay and amazon. And the guys on this forum know EVERYTHING about 3d movies. You won't find one that they don't already know about and have probably watched(and nobody nicer than Joe D.(although I like Joey D. better, haha). And any movie you purchase will be very good on the oled. If you don't have a region free 3d player go ahead and get one when you can; if you can afford it, oppo's 203 is very very good. This addiction will change your life. Congratulations and... Welcome to the Pride.

It was very, very good. To the point that I enjoyed the film more this time. I can't wait to view some more. Ghost in the Shell 3D tonight!
See if you can track down Fright Night 3D or Immortals 3D.

1.85 3D rarely disappoints, especially when the movie's good!

Thank you very much for the welcome. I will absolutely be looking to add a region free oppo shortly. Preferably a model that's uhd/3D supported. I find it insane how much better the oleds passive 3D is compared to my old Panasonic. It's a whole different league. If this had been 3D at the start I would have never considered anything else.

Hi wild Bill,

Thanks so much. You also gave me a thought. Maybe I should have called myself Joe "3" D!

Just watched "Mermaid"

All I can say it's a winner from Stephen Chow. No martial arts but funny and poignant with great 3D. Very good Dolby HD audio though need subtitles obviously.

Finally watched Ghost in the Shell. Wasn't terribly impressed with the movie or the 3D when I saw it in the theater. Both the movie and the 3D improved for me slightly now watching it at home. Was glad to pick it up in the Best Buy $9.99 sale. I never saw the original at the time of its release (watched the 2.0 version prior to seeing the 2017, now waiting for the Japanese Blu-ray to go down in price as I believe it's the best release of the original). I have no problems with Johansson in this role and I really enjoy this type of scifi movie thematically, so I guess I just wanted the story to be a bit deeper, for the themes to be explored more fully, and for the good 3D layers to be pushed just a bit more. Perhaps it was better as an anime at the time it was made than as live action today.

My 3D watch list:
[Show spoiler]Keep in mind I'm new to home 3D and this is only my first viewing on these titles, so I reserve the right to go back and work on the ratings They're a bit too subjective at the moment.

Prometheus 3D tonight! Ordered Pacific Rim 3D as well. I hear good things about the 3D in Pacific Rim and it's a blast of a film.

Hi Zombie,

Pacific Rim is a perfect example of how 3D can addict one.

When first watching it on cable before I got 3D, turned it off half way through out of boredom. When getting into 3D found a used copy cheap on web. Well, it was like a whole different experience. Loved the movie. Watched it three times in 3D.

Quite a difference maker from what I first found to be boring, right? Same with San Andreas. Get it if you haven't yet!

enjoy the fantastic 3d in Pacific Rim, the 3d in that film is a demoworthy 3d disc.

I find these other films to have great 3d as well:

Just ordered used copy of Dame to Kill For.

Hope you will all forgive me - but also ordered used Sin City uncut version to have the complete set - even though it's only in 2D.

Together they cost me just $14.54.
