I think labels and small retailers should start seeking an alternative to shipping USPS. It’s going to start causing problems with time spent on customer service, lost shipments, people going to Amazon, etc.

Did you really need to use all those adjectives? Sounds kind of long-winded to me.

You could have just said, "Ruined - the most technically-astute poster in the thread - is still the #1 poster."

Media Mail is the culprit. It's like flying economy vs. First Class - the flight attendants will look at you like you have a disease, while First Class passengers get showered with snacks and champagne and get called by their first names. The labels just need to stop defaulting to Media Mail and offer options. Of course, if you're not willing to pay for shipping then that's on you

Kind of makes sense too since given how cheap media mail is I can't see how these shipments wouldn't be a financial loss if they weren't just a toss in with the rest of the shipments whenever there is space - even then I bet they just manage to break even at best. So if they are being more conservative now with USPS in order to keep em financially solvent , media mail seems a good place to deprioritize to encourage more use of first class / priority.

With all these great Martial Arts announcements from Dark Force it reminds me again how I would love for this to get the Blu treatment at some point - hopefully sooner than later. With every passing announcement it feels like it would be right at home in the DF catalog.

My first class packages are held up though too. I only seem to not have (as much of an issue) with priority mail.

I appreciate we all varying levels of frequency of ordering and patience with delivery times.

As someone who orders a lot of movies, and who considers himself patient (career and personal relationships) but lacking it when it comes to waiting for service delivery, I'm going to probably stop buying movies for awhile or just use Amazon if a business can't provide me with better shipping options in the interim.

This isn't blaming anyone. I'm aware of the situation our country is currently in. However, I'm going to take my money where the business adapts.

Amazon has been sucking in delivery and shipping times also lately in my experience. The whole guaranteed 2 day prime thing is sort of a joke now.

Yeah, I’ve had them miss that deadline a few times now... but only by a day. And my tracking gets updated. Christine UHD came in 36 hours. I suppose it’s relative to location as well though obviously.

April and May were tough but lately Amazon has been good to me, often shipping stuff via UPS, which I get the next day or whatever in many cases. They also use their own couriers. They're more hit or miss but I have a good relationship with the couriers who deliver to my building so I usually get my stuff on time.

It's been a long time since anything has been delivered in 2 days haha. Not really their fault, nor USPS, the pandemic has slowed many things down.

Even before the slowdown, I usually picked the slow ship option on Amazon so I get some digital credits to spend; I'm rarely in a rush when it comes to movie packages, 1100+ unwatched discs will do that to ya.

My Mirror Mirror and Blue Monkey bundle is in pre shipment as of now. It said your package has shipped, but when I check it says pre shipment. Wonder how long it will take?

It is actually their fault. They intentionally prioritized essentials, and were only bringing in essentials into their warehouses. That has ended, and I'm getting stuff in 2 days again.

Too much drama! If the replication plant did accidentally destroy them they'd still be responsible for replacements.

I don't know if I should laugh or what... but yeah, it seems like if the replication plant was at fault for the accident, they should have to replace them.

Mine looks like it should be delivered tomorrow hopefully. It was stuck in LA by the postal service forever.
