Did a slip for Resident Evil: Retribution. Didn't like the movie at all, but the promotional material is pretty easy to think something up with. Went with a lighter design in contrast with the usual darker covers for the franchise.

That Resident Evil cover is nice. If only they were truly releasing an extended cut. But knowing Sony, we may be left with just the Theatrical Cut.

The director confirmed that he was working on editing the extended cut, plus Sony is releasing Total Recall with the extended cut included, so i wouldn't give up hope on Resident Evil getting one.

I hope that you're right. It would be awesome to get the extended cut of this film. I'm looking forward to watching the extended cut of Total Recall.

but I would not be surprised if the extended cut for Resident Evil is 2-D only.

While they appear very good, I still see that I can bring something to the table. He is using a different layout for the back than the US retail discs. In fact, this looks like he is using the exact same source file that one of the admins of CM used to rebuild scans of the actually released covers. He hasn't bothered with the small details like the Canadian and Quebec ratings, for instance, and there are also several more elements in that template that are "off" compared to the originals.

If the differences matter to my client, and he still wants me to finish these, I will take the opportunity to address the complaint over the likeness of Dalton on Living Daylights. Good grief, how could I not :-)

I guess this raises my game.

Nissen - the covers over at customaniacs are nowhere near the excellent quality of your custom. Just compare "A View to a Kill" as an example - Tanya Roberts face looks squiched on his version and he makes no attempt to fade the gunbarrel out like you do.

Besides, as rybev says his Dalton on "The Living Daylights" looks like a duck.

My computer is six years old and has been showing its age for a while. I'm probably not going to do any new covers until I get a new one, most likely next month.

What program do you use for displaying your cover art this way? I just purchased Imandix Cover Pro. There are several formats to choose from such as the one below. There is no flat view available like the one you're using though.

Should be noted that the above is the original cover art for Halloween. I always scan the original artwork for a given Blu-ray I've just purchased for use with DVD Profiler and My Movies for Windows Media Center. Just grabbed the last scan I worked up to try out in Imandix Cover Pro. Have been thinking about trying my hand at creating some custom covers. I've tweaked and played around with the original cover art for a given title, but never worked something up from scratch before.

It's a Photoshop action file and I believe I got it from the EuphoricFX forum.

This is simply fantastic. Beautiful. Simple. Elegant. Not much more to say. Just wish I had a printer and stock gloss paper to print this out properly! A+ work!
