Wouldn't it make more sense to find some old abandoned warehouse or similar structure near your offices that could be refurbished/renovated to store inventory so that you could waltz in anytime you wanted and grab what you needed? Why pay someone else in another county/city/Sate where you have to worry about logistics and broken down railcars?

By doing that, they would then be responsible for shipping. It's one thing shipping a box of 1-5 movies to a guy from Blu-Ray.com, I would imagine it's something else entirely to ship 100+ units to a storefront like MVD, Amazon, etc. Plus who's to say that there would even be safe storage locations remotely close to their home office. If the closest climate controlled location takes an hour to get to, that isn't all that cost efficient. It also may just be cheaper overall to store with the replicator than any location in LA. I feel like Bill himself has likely provided the best reason for not having all of the entire product run shipped directly to Dark Forces home base. The stories of blu ray stashes being lost and then found in dryers, behind toilets, in random storage lockers etc is probably reason enough to keep things as is.

I wonder if I ever got a Blu-ray that had been found behind Bill's toilet

Haven't you seen DF's bachelor pad, it's virtually an empty warehouse.

Are you kidding now Cinema84?? We have several storage spaces all over LA near our place but we replicate thousands of units. Every time any of them are moved it costs us money. So why would we move them all to LA when they go in several different directions?? They get drop shipped from the replicator to those places saving us lots of excess shipping and the need for tons of storage space here. You guys have a lot of misconceptions about what it really takes to run one of these labels. It's a hell of a lot more than you think.

You guys are batting out the hits tonight. You are talking about a 3000 square foot ultra modern penthouse condo with floor to ceiling windows, 15 foot high ceilings and a panoramic view that goes all the way to downtown LA. You can see about a corner of it in the live feeds. If you guys like we could give you a full tour though.
