I think many folks here should take a break from action flicks for a while before watching another Marvel movie.

I remember feeling really bored watching Thor: The Dark World. But I blame myself for watching too many of such flicks in cinemas and at home until fatigue had set in and expecting too much.

So I'm doing what I feel must be done. Watch other genre of films before the summer flicks kick in. I don't expect a miraculous Academy award winning feature with Winter Soldier and Guardians, but I'm still very excited about it. The thrill of seeing a team of new faces but yet contribute to the overall plot of The Avengers is intriguing. And I predict, Rocket Raccoon will be as popular as Iron Man.

I can see this easily doing Thor (2011) box office numbers.

I think this is going to be one of the best films for the avengers franchise. The concept of the movie is crazy, James gunn is crazy, I was raised in a house full of just crazy people.. It all seems right

Can't wait to vin diesel and Bradley coopers characters on screen.

No. He's never been a foul mouthed character. Other than tossing around "Damn" and "Flark".

Marvel Die-Hards have been pretty happy with his appearances in Avengers: EMH and Ultimate Spider-Man.

I predict that no matter how great or how bad this movie ends up being, Rocket Raccoon will be the stand-out character that everyone talks about, just like the Hulk was in The Avengers. I have no doubt Rocket will be awesome, I just hope the rest of the movie doesn't try so hard to reach with audiences by forcing humor throughout the whole film. It needs to have some seriousness and heart to give it weight.

Considering Marvel heavily encouraged Gazillion to include him in Marvel Heroes...

Even telling them that he was going to be the breakout star. And other stuff.

And Hasbro is whoring the hell out of Rocket in the upcoming toyline. I think you're right.

Plus Marvel and the Director have pretty much said that Star-Lord and Rocket are the leads.

and that kind of misrepresentation can put me off, because I'm not getting what I was waiting for based on the marketing campaign.
That must be why I liked it so much. I did not see a single trailer for it.

Our first look may be during the Superbowl!

Quote:
Nothing set in stone here, but Screen Crush have updated their Super Bowl movie spot list with a report that Disney/Marvel are trying to get a third trailer in there, which would likely feature our first (official) glimpse of footage from Guardians Of The Galaxy. The site reckon that Disney are "actively trying to acquire a third spot during the 2014 Super Bowl, with speculation that they will use that time to publicly reveal the first Guardians of the Galaxy trailer." The other two spots will go to Need For Speed and of course, the Captain America sequel. Short of any sort of conformation of this beforehand, we'll find out for sure when the 2014 Super Bowl airs on FOX at 6pm on February 2.

Hmm, interesting, although I wouldn't see the sports fans taking too well so it.

If sports fans can behind Thor, Cap, and The Avengers, they can get behind Rocket Raccoon and Groot!

There are also NFL fans such as myself that do not care who wins the Super Bowl and will only watch to get a first glimpse at the trailers that will premiere.

I'm probably the only one that's not feeling much excitement about this movie. Maybe the trailer will change my mind.

I'm not sure if it's still up, but Walt posted a "leaked" trailer a few thread pages back that looked very promising.

Edit* - They've taken it down, but here was the link:
