Fantastic Four (2015)

Every time I click on this thread I expect to see more bad news.

Anyway, even *if* this movie ends up being pretty good (not holding my hopes up though), it doesn't sound at all like this project is what I have always been hoping to see in a Fantastic Four movie. I get a strong impression that nobody involved really knows what the hell they are even doing. It could be a gangster movie for all they know or care.

At this point, what I hope is that this movie gets awful reviews and loses enough money that they sell the license to the FF characters (or let it lapse) so the franchise can go to a competent studio who will then put some real love and serious effort into a good Fantastic Four movie.

Because so far this reboot sounds like someone's playing pranks.

I'm not sure I've ever taken a movie as a personal insult, even the ones I didn't like from franchises I love.

Well I suppose "personal" is a bit hyperbole, but an insult to the fans of the franchise---I stand by that sentiment.

So we're getting Kibbels and bit players.

People lined up around the block to see a superhero movie with low budget, no costumes, little known actors, that aren't even called the FF made by a studio that has no faith in the franchise and wouldn't hire a single a-list actor?

I've always liked the first two films and they certainly look even better based on fears which may or may not happen with the reboot.

As did I. Maybe it has to do with the fact that the only Marvel comics I read as a kid were Spider-man, a few Captain America, and a handful of others. I never really followed FF comics, so that might have something to do with it?

Sure they will be. If only because they look a little like the FF in Roger Corman's film, as opposed to these cast members.

....just read the blu-ray review of The Awkward Moment - more "good news" that characters didnt have chemistry with each other. This movie stars Michael P. Jordan and Miles Teller. My prediction for how all these characters are
going to come off:

Teller: douchebag
Jordan: douchebag
Mara: biotchy (I love her but Invisible Woman shouldnt give off a negative vibe)
Jamie Bell: i'll be distracted by his size but Im guessing he'll pull off his character the best because Jamie Bell is always good in any movie he's in)
