Yeah, I'm just keeping my eye on this space for when the news breaks.

Am just happy that Turbine is bringing us 3D Blu-rays.

I used to be prejudiced against CGI animation, being an old-school drawn animation fan of course, but I soon got over that after I watched some really good ones and realized I was wrong.

I think the animated How To Train Your Dragon is better than the live action How To Train Your Dragon but ultimately they are the same film and both are worth watching. I really hope Turbine can get the new one, I want that so much more than The Wild Robot or Wicked, that's for sure (though I will buy every 3D Blu-ray they release in any case).

Pretty sure they will get it next year. The releases from Turbine are generally tied to the Studios release, so they won't interfere. You can add a couple of months after the Studios release of the "How to Train Your Dragon" movie after which you can expect the Turbine release, at least at this point.
So, the German release date for the physical 4k/ blu ray disc is on the 28th of August 2025, which means that the turbine release - should that decide to release it - would be early next year, I would guess between January and April.

The Wild Robot got its physical blu-ray release on the 19th of December 2024, meaning roughly 8 months of waiting time after the official release.

So between January and April is realistic.
And since Jurassic World Rebirth will probably get its physical release early October, the likely release from Turbine would be between March and July 2025.

animation is OK, but my interest really lies with the live action movies, so i'm excited to see what live action 3D titles they may put out in future.

Live action will always have more adult appeal than animation, as much as I enjoy animated 3D my priority is always live action 3D. Having said that, I'd probably be more excited by Transformers One than Ben Hur though I still hope the latter gets a release.

Exception to the rule is The last two Spiderverse animated films, they looked superb and I found the content riveting.

Also, recently bought my first traditional animated feature for decades with the 4K version of Watership Down, fantastic, hand drawn delight.

If nothing else appeals from the live action Turbine offerings (unlikely) at the very least I got a well done F13th 3D version out of it. Hoping for at least a couple of live action titles though.

I just wish they didn't make Peter Parker into such a dummy. And pregnant women placing their unborn children into almost constant danger isn't cool either, I appreciate there are a lot of silly characters in the Spiderverse but the film was making that one out to be admirable and she just wasn't. But that animation style is just something else in the second film, in 3D it would be a complete sensory overload. I am gutted they didn't stump up for the conversion but Sony don't care for their 3D world anymore. I hope Turbine can make Sony see sense one day. You want some easy money? Put the last two Venom movies out on 3D Blu-ray.

Mission Impossible: Fallout and Fast 9 are both worth watching in 3D.

Venom 2 and 3 would be an absolute certainty for me to buy, the first one is a blast in 3D.

I got the first Spider Verse in 3D and absolutely hated it. Only watched it once. I tried a second time a while later and couldn't get more than a few mins in. I'm totally mystified by the praise they get (well the first one, I didn't bother with the second)

- Transformers One
- The Wild Robot

I would personally prefer

- Wicked
- Transformers One
- The Wild Robot

But considering that we are probably getting all of them at some point, i would prefer Wicked to be released sooner, since I've seen Wicked in 4K already, and it looked like the 3D could be great.
And i would love to see Wicked in 3D before part 2 gets released at the movie theater.
You guys only think about newer releases ? there are quite a few from Paramount i.e that are almost if not a decade on the wait. Much rather have those now.

Current titles from Universal and Paramount, that had a 3D theater run:

- Fast X
- Wicked
- How to Train Your Dragon
- Jurassic World Rebirth

And the upcoming

- Wicked 2 (2025, will also be released in 3D)
- Transformers Rise of the Beasts 2 (2026, first one was 3D, second one is unknown at this point)
- Fast X Part 2 (dito to the above)

They are probably all realistic.

Are they definitely doing a sequel to transformers rise of the Beasts? If so, it hasn't started shooting, so 2026 seems a bit optimistic.

For my part, I would be satisfied if just Jurassic World Rebirth would get a 3D blu-ray. I saw the film in 2d at the cinema and found it rather good. Also, it was shot on 35mm, so it has that very nice cinematic look to it. And I guess it would be great on 3d blu. Likely somewhere in Jurassic World territory when it comes to the 3d

I saw it in 3D at the movie theater and found it very enjoyable. The 3D was very good and bumped the film up one point.
Really don't want to watch it in 2D if i don't have to. Which, thanks to turbine, i probably never have to

Yeah, I enjoyed the first one in 3D for sure.

As for Venom, I would be up for having those two in 3D.

I’ll definitely take the excellent The Wild Robot over the new Dragon or Wicked, but hopefully we’ll eventually get all of those.

Yeah I saw that too but nothing about it being a rise of the Beasts sequel and it definitely won't be out next year.

Angry Put more 3D movies.

Dude, I hope there are more movies to watch. I haven't seen them in 3D, but we need more, for example. (Sony. - 50th Century Studios - Disney - Warner Bros)

I've seen them, but there's more to come. Whatever 3D movie comes out, I don't care if it doesn't say anything. (No 3D Blu-ray)

Because I've seen what they're doing, if not, it'll be ruined by more 3D movies. I'll be better, dude!

I ask you when you are going to release more 3D movies. There is much more missing in 3D Blu-ray than they have not done and it was missing and now what and what not 3D Blu-ray that is why it always says Tango (Not 3D Blu-Ray) I do not know how many times they do it but someone will have to sell another development in 3D to do it on any device in all 3D like Turbine which does much better and that no development format fails in 3D Blu-ray.
