it was cut on tv, it was cut on dvd and it's the same cut version on your bluray.
if you don't believe me, take a look on some italian forums - gentedirispetto.

Stop talking BS? We said we were putting out the R-rated Italian cut which contains nudity and violence which is exactly what we did. We never claimed it was the only cut of the movie either. So how are we trying to fool our customers Mr. Fulci? Why don't you find out what is so great on that movie that doesn't appear in our version? Then you might actually be on to something.

It's a bad look for Dark Force to disparage another company in the boutique business, especially when you have no idea who they are (and should).
Oh really, we should know about them, huh? Sounds so impressive Kleeberg. They must be in the sticky threads here like Code Red and Scorpion. Probably way bigger thread on here than us and MVD. Sure it will be huge news to the whole home video world that FilmArt is releasing yet another version of Death Rage. I hope the market is bigger in Germany than it is here for their sake.

This forum is in English and consequently steers towards American labels.... And it's not like DF has a "sticky thread".... glass houses and all.

The market in Germany is actually a lot bigger for this sort of release than here IMO, and FilmArt specialize in that type of film.

https://www.blu-ray.com/search/?quic...n=bluraymovies

It also makes sense that they would have multiple releases because many Italian films had different cuts exclusive to the German market. I can’t imagine the US audience would be super excited about seeing the German variant. For the handful that do, there’s always the import market.

I see no reason to disparage either label. They are releasing what they feel is best for their individual markets. there’s also the economic reality of licensing.

I bought the DF edition, in full knowledge of which cut it contained and that a few subtitles were missing. I’m very happy with it and no one put a gun to my head to buy it.

So far, my personal favorite DF release is YETI.

It would be nice if I could purchase Blue Monkey... why does it have to be so difficult?

Who does the actual restorations for Dark Force? Can't be Dave - between filming in Bill's apartment and flexing, he can't possibly have enough time to supervise full-blown restoration projects. Besides, Dave's background is in film production, not restoration, am I rite? Or are these two things interchangeable?

If you are working as a filmmaker you end up doing and learning so much extra stuff, so he can probably do color correction at a studio or on his computer if he has the right software. In my case, I have done so much as a filmmaker (often for other people), I doubt I could even recall everything I have been involved with.

We have an easy answer. All the ones we had sold very quickly. And that was almost half of the 2000 custom slipcover run. There was a big problem with the rest of the inventory thus the reason it is now difficult. But fret not we do have more on the way which may even go up before the weekend is over.

Without mincing words, you come off as a miserable prick. The way you're talking about people (and brands you aren't even aware of) comes off as unnecessarily angry and hostile.

Why should I support a company with an attitude like that?

Speaking of which... My slipless copy arrived today and looked to be in exemplary condition with not a blemish to be found on the case itself. I'm eager to give this one a spin this weekend, Thanks again!

On an unrelated note, any chance you could talk with Bill and see if you/he can scrounge up some copies of Trick or Treats sometime?

Hey so are there any negotiations between dark force and bill to repress previous code red titles? Just wondering. Or is that exclusive to screen archives?

I wound up finally watching my copy of Black Dragon/Enforcer from Death Row last weekend. Both movies are goddamned terrible, but when you are as high as balls, they're a whole lot of fun. Black Dragon has the better Kung-Fu, but Enforcer is just more insane.

My only complaint is that I wish you guys would mix up the Drive-In intermission segments. I'm three deep now, and they always seem to be the same ones in the same order. Also, could you maybe throw a trailer or two in there? Something from one of your other discs perhaps?

Speaking of the drive in series, how are the segments in between?
