Why? Cause it's a tough business and we put out good stuff that's why. Cause we wouldn't be here going on four years if we weren't doing something right. Cause we wouldn't be at the top of the biggest blu-ray forum on the internet if we were releasing crap. As for the anger and hostility I think we are pretty calm in lieu of the amount of hostility that is constantly thrown at us. Seems there are a lot of angry and emotional people collecting videos. We do know you would never come here and call anyone a miserable prick face to face. But it's real easy to be a tough guy on the internet.

Your support of a company shouldn't be based on an attitude but on the quality of what they are selling. If you don't like that quality then don't buy it.

Dark Force could repress any previous Code Red title that Bill still has the rights to. But between our own big releases and Bill's health issues we simply have not gotten around to doing so. Also we are not one hundred percent convinced of how well they would sell. Neither Dark Force nor Code Red is doing anything with Screen Archives at this time.

My only complaint is that I wish you guys would mix up the Drive-In intermission segments. I'm three deep now, and they always seem to be the same ones in the same order. Also, could you maybe throw a trailer or two in there? Something from one of your other discs perhaps?
Glad you had fun watching Drive-In #10 El Fez. We totally agree that those two are particularly entertaining. We do try to mix up the Drive-In intermission segments. There are always different trailers and we use different iconic Drive-In count down clocks. A few pieces may get re-used but we are working on acquiring some new original film elements of Drive-In intermission clips for future releases.

Don't anger the Dark Forces, lol.

Uh oh, the whole reverse Internet tough guy routine, playing out in front of our eyes. "My dad would beat up your dad!" If you were being a hostile, miserable prick in person, I'd tell you. It's not about being "tough", it's just about letting you know how you come off. I'm not sitting here with my chest puffed out. Calm down.

There are a million different movies out there that I want to own from many different boutique labels. The way reps of companies treat people has a hand in which ones I support.

FYI, the first link on Google to Dark Force Entertainment goes to a store that says it's down for maintenance, and the second doesn't look like it's been updated since 2018.

Do you always go around telling people you meet what you think about their opinions or attitudes? If yes, then that gif that was posted above will become reality sooner or later lol. On the Vinegar Syndrome thread you indirectly told me I was silly for saying that I preferred horror movies metaphor-free. Don't worry about other people's opinions or preferences too much - you'll live longer.

If I boycotted a label because of a cranky Insider I wouldn't own 100+ awesome Kino titles and a similar number of Code Reds. Now THAT is silly.

Not always, but when warranted. I'm smart enough to do it in a way that doesn't get me slapped.

You're free to like whatever kind of movies you want to. I'm free to have an opinion about it. That's the beauty of forums.

I just wish I could get a straight answer on what the audio options will be on Terror Express.

Perhaps I was misremembering then - the Drive In bumpers are often in my rotation as they get used as generic filler around Casa El Fez and it's been a couple of weeks since I watched my other discs.

Anyway, more cheesy Kung Fu please!

You're probably right, but I was being hopeful as they are using the Italian cut of the film. I guess I should consider my luck that Red Neck will have the Italian audio.

Dark Force's site is down again. I’d like to order the standard Blue Monkey at $22. No need for a slipcover.

"BREAKING NEWS: The Leo Fong 1980 martial arts epic REVENGE OF THE BUSHIDO BLADE will be a 2K scan from the original uncut 35mm camera negative. Dark Force will transport the precious element to the lab tomorrow on this rape/revenge flick also known as THE LAST REUNION to begin the production process. The hard hitting flick also stars cult legend Cameron Mitchell (NIGHTMARE IN WAX, ISLAND OF THE DOOMED)."

I'll be checking this out as I never have seen it or had a copy in any format.
Nice that you mentioned two neglected films that I would love to see uncut bluray releases of: Nightmare in Wax - uncut with the bloody eyeball scene and possibly more (I can't recall), Island of the Doomed: blood drinking plants!
