End of debate.

Well another thing I wondered....
[Show spoiler]Why does this loop even keep happening besides the fact her mind is erased. Is it even possible to get out of? You would think she could be in a dream or some werid universe for this to happen.

Here's another thing. These time spands...Once she kills everyone, they show up again....so what if she doesn't kill everyone?? How does that explain once she does they just magically appear again.

Lots of those answers are in the Triangle thread. I think one of the popular theories is that
[Show spoiler]she's in her own hell, being forced to do these things again and again...

That ties in with the mythology of the man who is sentenced to roll the boulder up the mountain, just to have it roll back down the other side. This sentence is eternal.

To me this whole entire movie is based of Greek Mythology
[Show spoiler]Sisyphus was punished by the Gods for being cruel to he people when he was ruler. They made him carry a rock to the top of a mountain and if he succeed his torment would stop. Little did he know that every time he got close to the top the rock would fall back down outside of his control. In addition the ship that jess is on has a greek name. The cab driver at the end which would represent "The Boat Man" in Greek Mythology.

The Incredible Hulk (2008) :
Loved it, loved it so much! And Hulk will smash you if you don't include it in your library!

Movie: I watched this right after watching the blu-ray version of Hulk (2003), and while I really liked the 2003 version, this new version is officially my favorite hero movie of all time, yes I even put it above The Dark Knight.
The cinematography was breathtaking, it starts out with a gorgeous flyover of a city in Brazil, and there's beautiful scenes in a rainforest. Even the city scenes are done well, they all look alive and authentic.

The action is nonstop just like what I imagine Hulk to be. His rage in this movie makes the 2003 version of Hulk look like a ***** cat in comparison.

Video Quality: Looked awesome to me and the CGI for Hulk was much more impressive than the 2003 version.

Audio Quality: Simply amazing, I almost cried at how awesome it was. At times you'd feel like you're in a war zone, and on other scenes you'd feel like your inside a real rainforest. The bass in this movie is INSANE, and Hulk's roar in this movie is the best I've ever heard.

Extras: 42 minutes of deleted scenes!!! Too bad the deleted scenes are 480p, otherwise i'd give it a 5. Some of the deleted scenes were so good I was scratching my head trying to figure out why the director cut them.

Overall: If someone stole this movie from me and there was only one copy left in the world, I'd be willing to pay A LOT OF MONEY for it

Lots to figure out eh?
[Show spoiler]Trauma induced affect on her memory. When she napped, her brain finally had a second to catch up...or finally overload...and the data in her noggin was lost.

Events like what happened to her can have a HELL of an effect on ones psychological state of being and memory of those events. Like how a rape victim, or a war veteran will have subconsciously blocked out things that have happened to them.

That's just my guess though, but I haven't seen the movie in months, so I don't know if that meshes with the other details.

Or for a less "scientific" answer, if you are operating under the assumption that she is indeed in hell/purgatory/anything like that....it keeps being erased as a sort of torture for her, she can't escape. And her forgetting makes it worse because after going through the motions for a while she will see the lockets and realize, "Crap....I've done this before....a lot" and then when she thinks she's finally out...she's going to see the birds over the cliff, and realize..."I'm not out...."

Diesel, I was about to watch Frozen on BD after all of the recommendations I keep reading here, but now Orphan was just suggested to me.

Are you going to watch Frozen tonight?

That's not a theory though--that's one of the few things about the film that is pretty blatant.

Geez I go away for a few days and I return to all you misfits going crazy over Triangle. The loop has returned. Coincidentally, I'm booking a cruise to the Bahamas right now and I log on here and see Triangle being discussed again.

Psycho (blu)

PQ: 5 stars (out of 5)

Arguably the finest black and white presentation on blu yet. The contrast levels of black and white are extraordinary.

AQ: 4 stars (out of 5)

Great dialogue reproduction.

Film: 4 stars (out of 4)

Indisputably the finest horror film ever made, enough said.

Red Desert (Criterion)

Synopsis:

"A drama about alienation in the modern world, director Michelangelo Antonioni's masterpiece follows the unhappy life of Giuliana (Monica Vitti), an emotionally disturbed housewife who avoids confronting reality and engages in an illicit affair. Co-starring Richard Harris, Carlo Chionetti and Xenia Valderi, this visually stunning art film uses striking images of stifling industrial landscapes to emphasize its theme of isolation."

_______________________________________________

PQ: 4.5 stars (out of 5)

Great depth in the beginning and nice reproduction. Grain is heavy at times but I was impressed overall, despite the intentional bleakness.

AQ: 4 stars (out of 5)

Film: 3 1/2 (out of 4)

Moves at a deliberate pace but is always interesting. Vitti is exceptional here as a woman on the verge of a breakdown. This is a film that will definitely require repeated viewings, as there are layers that will only reveal themselves with additional viewings. Nothing is really handed to you here and the film makes you work, but I truly feel that it's worth it in the end because of the emotional complexity and stark images conveyed in the film. I'll be picking this one up at the sale in 2 weeks.

Two films I didn't finish this past week:

Shiver----this is another one of the popular Spanish horror films to come out in the 2000s. I felt it had an interesting premise but had too many script issues. I watched all but a half hour or so because I fell asleep and then just never got back to it the following day and really haven't felt a desire to.

The Holiday---my lady friend chose this one to watch last nite. Needless to say, I didn't really watch much of the movie after the first half hour but I thought it was actually a pretty cute rom-com and I'll probably revisit it in full.
