It'll be a great time...standing in the blizzard for 3 days just to get tickets.

It'll be a time when you get into the theater and rip off your jacket, and let the heat waft over you.

Go have dinner @ Longhorn's or Houlihan's, and catch a Thursday night showing...good times...good times!

script issues. When Abrams and Kasdan started over on the Arndt script, they had to push back the hoped for/planned May release to December.

The December 2015 date was set in concrete before Abrams was even hired. Rumor was JJ and LucasFilm wanted the date pushed back, and Iger said no. Get it done.

Marvel in the summer, Star Wars over Christmas. Going to be that way for the next few years.

Default Warwick Davis "SELFIES" from the Force Aawkens set!!

During an appearance on ‘The One Show’ last night, Warwick Davis who was the last official cast addition to The Force Awakens, showed off a couple of selfies taken on the set!

The first with Darth Vader (below) might even be quite revealing. Darth Vader’s return (either in flashback or something much more shocking) was once rumoured, but it’s hard to believe Davis would have let such a big spoiler slip so easily.

The second snap (below) is of Davis with Chewbacca’s crotch, which really doesn’t bare thinking about. We already know that Chewie (and actor Peter Mayhew) are returning for the new film.

If Darth Vader returns it will 100% be the moment that Star Wars jumped the shark!

If Vader is seen, it's going to be through a Force vision of the past (Leia seems particularly good at that sort of thing, with visions of her mother, etc.). I'm not concerned. Climb down off the ledge, fellas.

There will be special charity screenings, if I recall correctly.

I wonder how much of an impact that the "Clone Wars" cartoon will have on new kids coming out to see SW ep7?

For some kids, they never saw a SW movie in a theater, and their view of SW is more from a PT view - seeing 6 seasons of the Clone Wars (by the way, season 6 is just awesome).

So I wonder if that new audience would more than cover the people who are tired of SW and didn't like the PT. I'm sure we'll have a ton of 8-10 year old boys (and girls like my daughter) who will be happy to see SW in a theater for the first time.

I'm happy that you love all of the films as well.

I too agree that The Force Awakens is going to make a shit load of money, but it's probably not going to hit Titanic or Avatar levels. Nothing would please me more, but it's probably not in the cards.

The only question left and we wont know til that day in Dec is do the 8-10 year olds of the world get to see a real SW film or one in name only. I hope that its the first option and is in the traditon of SW and TESB.

I wonder seeing as how it's DISNEY...

1) Will there be 2 different versions...(one Kiddie...one Adult).
2) How much will remain as deleted scenes.
3) Hopefully it will clock in at over 2hrs..(and i do mean OVER 2HRS.) nothings worse than a rushed film that is cut in so many places that it doesn't make sense.

It's LUCASFILM...Disney is the parent company funding and releasing the movie, just like they do for Pixar and Marvel. They're hands-off, which is why Lucas sold them the company in the first place -- he was impressed by how Disney left Pixar and Marvel alone to do their own thing.

So no -- there will not be two separate versions (how much kiddier could Star Wars get, anyway? I take it you've seen the other six movies)
Who knows what scenes will fall off in the editing process, like the other six movies...
The first and most acclaimed film in the series clocked in at 121 minutes.

I already reported it. Just tasteless on his part, and proves that the only reason he posts here is to troll the thread.

Whats wrong with my avatar? Its so much more "work" friendly than the half naked women a lot of you use. If you are going to say this is tasteless then all the provocative avatars that are NOT work friendly should also be removed.

Just a question. I just wouldn't be surprised if it does get taken down.

Disney doesn't do that with Marvel or Pixar, they won't be doing it with LucasFilm. You should be more concerned about LucasFilm (Greedo shooting first) than Disney.
