The Halloween series is about a man trying to find some decent food after being force-fed mac and cheese and dry meat loaf every night for fifteen years.

H1 - He couldn’t find any decent food so resorted to eating a dog.

H2 - He just wanted Mrs. Elrod to make him a ham sandwich with mustard and mayonnaise.

H4 - He mistook the dog’s name Sunday for an ice cream sundae.

H5 - Those Cookie Woman cookies looked mighty delicious.

H6 - He was only chasing Jamie because he wanted to eat her baby.

H20 - He was trying to crash the teens’ party and eat their school food.

Resurrection: He allowed himself to be electrocuted and turned into some chicken fried, mother****er! He was willing to eat part of himself.

RZH1 - He just wanted to know where he could get a taco deluxe supreme.

RZH2 - He was so hungry he could eat a (white) horse.

H18 - He wanted some of Ray’s peanut butter and the cops’ banh mi sandwiches.

Kills - The only reason he went home was to eat the two Johns’ meat and cheese platter.

Ends - He smelled some yummy food cooking in Laurie’s microwave. He would’ve eaten it too if she hadn’t started a fight with him for no reason.

Rewatched this SF UHD disc. I hate SF most of the time but this transfer is stunning.

As for grading to unmatch prints and such, that's not really how grading is done and Eastman prints from that era faded at a very fast rate so they wouldn't be a good reference even in 2007 or whatever.
Cundy was brought in for the 1999 dvd payed, assisted and approved it (https://www.philipmeade.com/movies/h...-a-comparison/) he was also the 1 who approved the 35th bluray and then the 4k was approved by him, hw was not a big fan
of the dvd after the 1999 because he sad the 1999 is how it should look, his 35th and his 4k approved all have a different look. the man has been payed 3 times, approved this movies colour grade 3 times. he seemed to be very found of the 1999 one the most.

Just had a look at the blog post you linked and what a load of nonsense it is. He claims that the original Blu-ray uses a Cundey-approved master from 1999 and says that it is speculated that they went back to an old master so they could put Cundey's name on the box... when Cundey's name isn't even freakin' mentioned on the box at all!

Adam Adams was the colorist for the 1999 DVD; I'm sure there were public comments explaining that they wanted to go for a more autumnal look and got Cundey to sign off on it. I don't know why you're claiming Cundey was paid to assist on the 1999 DVD's color timing or for the other grades when directors/DPs will commonly oversee/approve the grades for their older films at no extra charge unless there's some sort of agreement which I doubt most forum-goers would be privy to.

Cundey even stated in an interview that the 35th Anniversary release was the first time he had real control over the grade and was actively involved with the look of the film on home video. The "look" of the film hasn't changed much since that release and the differences have mainly been down to color saturation as opposed to removing blues or making greens look brown. I've seen bigger discrepancies between Blu-rays and UHDs of new movies that were released concurrently.

All this stuff has been covered in detail with proof and video links in other threads on this forum years ago. I'm not going to waste my time digging around for this stuff since people will pretend it doesn't exist and would rather parrot unsubstantiated nonsense and debunked falsities from simpletons and sock accounts, but it does exist.

Everyone wanted that 1999 DVD look but I go back to it and don't care for it. Honestly I prefer the newest the best follow d by the Divimax used on the 2007 BD.

I was sitting behind Dean Cundey during his supervised session. He hadn’t said a word for 40 minutes. I finally asked him what he thought.

“It’s…exactly how I remember it looking.”

He asked for an adjustment on one shot later in the film.

https://www.dvdreview.com/1999/05/pr...ary-halloween/

I don't see Dean Cundey's name even mentioned at all for the information on the picture remaster for the 1999 DVD. Keywords too "COLOR CORRECTION BY ADAM ADAMS"

What a bunch of nonsense.
The reason Dean Cundey approved the transfer was because he said that's how the film would've looked like back then (aka 1999) if they had the technology and a bigger budget to digitally change the colors of the film. Aka a big IF.

He didn't say a word. He sat there looking at the screen, looking through the screen, looking at THIS forum. Inhumanly patient.

There a Halloween setup with a bunch of slips?

Is the Scream Factory 4k out of print now? I just checked, and it says it's going for $108 used. Did Scream Factory lose the licence or something?

Thankfully I already own both the Lionsgate and Scream Factory 4ks, but still.
