Another Tim Burton and Johnny Depp Masterpiece!! I'm starting to like Helena Bonham Carter the more I see her as well. I think she is a great actress. Sacha Bara Cohen in this as well, I wish he would do more serious movies. He is very talented and could do so much more.

5/5
He is going to play Freddie Mercury in an upcoming Queen film. Brian May and Roger Taylor actually picked him for the role.

but
[Show spoiler] mustn't their car be higher than adjacent cars? I guess it was right? As long as he either (1) doesn't get to a car that is lower than adjacent cars or (2) if he does get to a "valley car" that is lower than adjacent cars, he is close enough to ground to jump, that woudl work!

That would have rocked!!!
Reading this made me think of Into the Wild, which made me think of Vedder. What if Vedder had made some tunes for Frozen? That could have been chilling. Punny, eh?

Yeah, great point.

You know what this is also making me think of?? That the easiest way to write a script is to use a thread! In like 10 mins, lots of great ideas. If I was a screenwriter, I'd be plucking y'alls brains left and right!

Quite a pun indeed!

Haven't seen "Into the Wild," and I don't know much about Eddie Vedder (but Pearl Jam does rock ).

We need more movies with rockin' music scores.

Or, if the cable is too slippery and he gains too much speed.

Or he could have thrown the

Al, see Into the Wild!!!!! And Vedder doesnt "rock" for that film. Its all slow burn soulful melodic stuff. Emotionally heavy introspective.

Should we call it "The Frozen Movie"?

[Show spoiler]And that chick that Lynch was picking up on could show up on day 2 with a thermos of hot chocolate and a ladder, but then a fleet of snowmobiles just MOWS her over. Then the wolves and eat her and drink the cocoa.

The Secret of Kells.”

Going into this film, judging just from the description and reviews, I figured what kind of story this would be. Yes, “Avatar” rips off another movie!!!

Actually, the movie’s not quite that predictable or formulaic. It does have a decent story; a little simple maybe, but still fresh and interesting. The movie has its share of moments, both wondrous and intense. And it is populated with a solid cast of characters.

Even then, the movie is still fresh and original, especially with its Celtic-themed settings and mythology (it’s about flipping time too!). And it is a really funky film too, with all kinds of simplistic blocky-style characters and intricate backgrounds. I do love the geometric layout of most scenes (there are a lot of circles and spirals all over the place). As expected, animation quality is quite strong. Voice acting is strong too.

I would say this is easily as essential of an animated film as a Disney, Pixar, or Hayao Miyazaki film.

It should probably be noted that this film does have some scary moments and some sobering war scenes; nothing terribly graphic, but it might be a bit much for young children (I think this ought to be a PG rated film).

4.5/5 (entertainment: 4.5/5, story: 4/5, film: 4.5/5)

This Blu-Ray looks and sounds darn near perfect!

PQ: 5/5, AQ: 5/5

Definitely a fun movie to watch with a lot of strong performances, solid action and the always gorgeous Monica Potter.
