Rewatched it today and i would say Alien is the best film of Ridley.

I really don't understand this obsession, and i am shocked that many people think that Blade Runner is either on par with The Empire Strikes Back or better than Fight Club.
I am shocked you can't see its greatness.

An influence on an entire genre and a great film...but that’s where it ends? Barely any film can even strive to achieve such high regard.

What were you expecting the film to do, pull down your pants and give you a reach around?

Blade Runner is fantastic but it's a hair behind TESB. It's definitely better than entertaining but not transcendent Fight Club.

The Godfather, 2001 etc many films replicated and even exceed that BR did in it's genre.

It's a great film, but the main strenght is the cinematography which is 10/10 and Scott directed it quite well.

I think Alien is a solid **** out of *****, it has aged better and has this claustrophobic mood and storyline which is far more interesting.

So if anything, his masterpiece might be that. I do remember it being a quite better, so for now i only have Alien in my top 25 from Ridley.

From what i see, we disagree on basically everything (Except Fincher and Cronenberg) so it's not surprising.

Tyler, Jack, Marla... all far more interesting characters plus it has an "emotional" core since you get what was wrong with his life..

That alone makes FC superior, atleast for me.

I'll put it up against Se7en.

If it wins, then it's the textbook proof of it being quite overrated.

I have no interest to talk with you, we don't share any opinion neither i want to change ours.

You love Lynch and hate Nolan, for me it's the opposite.

The MCU didn't change the landscape of filmmaking as much as MCU fans think it did. Star Wars actually accomplished that with the first 6 films and every franchise since has tried to replicate its groundbreaking success.

Blade Runner IS amazing and so is its long-awaited sequel, 2049.

And i don't. You are not my friend, i don't hate you (why i would hate someone who i don't even know on the internet) but indifferent.

We have different taste and opinions, you're from Gen Z and i am from Gen X. This explains your bizzarre hatred against Nolan, and praise for Burton's laughable efforts.

Now, I wish you a nice day so you can stop quoting me.

Ew, I'm not from Gen Z. What an insult.

I still think Blade Runner is a better film than all of Star Wars movies.

That's a rather closed-minded attitude for someone like DVR who seems to be a huge fan of an anti-hero.

I'm sorry, but unless you think Blade Runner is the greatest film of all time, you're not actually allowed to post on Blu-ray.com. It's in the rules.
