I noticed that many of the dead drops would only show up after you did something else in game, making you have to back track several times to find them all (I found all but the last one (found where you found it) after getting the blast shard sense power, so it was a little more useful for me than scooping up the last few blast shards).

John lets you see conduits you are looking directly at, but I didn't get the impression that he knew where every one in the world was (at least in the good play through).

All in all, the plague = ray sphere radiation this was pretty unclear. There could almost have been a whole game involving figuring out and addressing that part.

Was the plague just in Empire and New Marais? Was it spreading? Did the Beast really need to activate conduits in between? Was there a solution to address the plague in those two cities that would have allowed humans and activated conduits to co-exist? Was the radiation coming off active conduits the actual "plague"?

It was definitely ambiguous in some ways, but with the info you had at hand I can see why trying to save most of the world was the "higher good" option.

Where does the story go now though? Is this really the end of Infamous?

Interesting, I didn't run across that. I picked up every dead drop on the east side of Flood Town before even turning the power on as far as I remember.

Of course, I've noticed a number of bugs (missions not showing up, or showing up but not letting me start them the most annoying of them), so perhaps it just worked out differently for us with regards to dead drops.

Now that I'm into the "evil" side...I must say I am quite disappointed with "evil" Cole. In the first game, he really felt EVIL/corrupt...this time he just seems like a jerk with red powers....

Good Cole is definitely far superior to Bad Cole this time; much more so than in the first game...though Good Cole was my preferred Cole in both games anyway.

Just beat Infamous 2 on Good Karma. Wow that ending was good, but I think the Evil Karma ending was just a bit better.

I honestly don't know how they'd do a sequel based on EITHER ending?

I mean in the good Karma ending,
[Show spoiler]Cole dies.
In the Evil Karma ending
[Show spoiler]Cole becomes the Beast and wipes out all humanity leaving only conduits.

Guess that's it for this franchise.

Just completed the game for the 3rd time and this time completed the good campaign on hard so woo hoo! got my first Platinum trophy!

Even after the 3rd time, I still love the ending and oh, the western movie scene is still one of my favorites scenes.

Rumor has it the good ending is "canon" (i.e. the official storyline).

Ultra-spoiler:
[Show spoiler]The good ending has Cole's body being buried at sea on a boat, and there's a lightning strike at the end. It would be plausible to think he could be resuscitated by a bolt of lightning.

You may change your tune about how "evil" Cole is when you get deeper into your playthrough (the ending in particular made me feel like I needed a shower afterwards). His evil powers IMO are better than in inFAMOUS 1 (and seem more powerful than good Cole, especially
[Show spoiler]Ionic Drain
).

I've finished it now, and must say that I am still quite disappointed with him as a "evil" character.

[Show spoiler]Yes, he did commit genocide against all non-conduits and murdered his best friend...but that still doesn't make him feel sooo evil to me, especially when you consider everything running up to that point. He did it to save hundreds of thousands because he thought it would be the best way to ensure that some people lived through the plague.

Evil Cole in round one was all about two things: himself and power. Didn't care about anyone else, it was HIS city, HIS world. Just listen to his speech during the evil ending of the first game

There wasn't enough drastic differences in his dialog, voice or even his appearance between Good and Bad Cole this time. And the guy's voice didn't help either. The original guy's voice when he changed it a tad for Evil Cole sounded **** your pants scary.

Now...if you look at him as a conflicted or just selfish character, he works much more than looking at him as "evil". Because when he has to kill Zeke he has a really, REALLY rough time. But that's not what I wanted When he killed Nix, that was just BRUTAL. Now THAT was the Evil Cole that I wanted!
Good Cole is squeaky clean, so I want Bad Cole to be evil to the core as a polar opposite.

Also, I must say that Good Cole feels more good this time around.

I must also disagree about the powers
I wasn't a fan of
[Show spoiler]the powers you got from Nix or his own evil powers.
I MUCH preferred the
[Show spoiler]ice powers from Kuo and the good counterparts of his own abilities. Ice Rockets FTW.

You make some good points, but I still felt that, in regards to the evil ending, the ends didn't justify the means, making his decisions that much more disagreeable. I also found the evil grenade/rocket powers to be far more destructive (and useful) than the good counterparts. That said, I can agree to disagree (w/ the exception of Nix's powers, which I barely used).

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got all Blast Shards and all dead drops.

Strangely enough, I am listed at 95%, even though I've found all shards drops and side missions.

Might have a few powers to get, but that's it.

Beaten it on Evil and Good, and on Evil I have all the upgrades.

The Evil Karma profile is the one that is listed at 95% with 52 powers/upgrades, all side missions completed, all shards and dead drops found.

The only markers on the map now are green UGC ones or medical clinics.

I'm not sure if it is just the difference between normal and hard, but the good grenade/rockets were much better for me,
[Show spoiler]plus they have the freezing impact perk.

Seeing as it's based around duality...perhaps its expected that we each come down on a different side

Once I got the homing rockets the game became MUCH easier. The Icemen were a pain on hard. I beat good on hard and will now play bad on easy.

Just finished the game on Hard yesterday with Good Karma. Now it's just two trophies left until I finished my Platinum.

Surprisingly, it was pretty easy for a game on Hard difficulty. The only things that I was having trouble with on Hard are the RPG guys, the Heavies, the Crushers, and the Titans. Luckily, if you purchase
[Show spoiler]Cluster Grenade
, handling those types of enemies will be a LOT easier.

Personally, I went the other way (good on medium, bad on hard), because I figured it would be harder to get (and maintain) good karma when the baddies became more difficult (you know, avoiding hurting/killing civilians). That said, I maxed out both karma levels before I ever got to Flood Town and
[Show spoiler]you can choose to get the good or bad ending at the end anyway, regardless of your karmic state. Which is why, after I got the full infamous karma trophy on my hard playthrough, I started doing all extras (silencing street performers/protesters, healing wounded civies, defusing blast shard bombs, etc...) regardless of karmic implications, just to score more xp
.

Is there a trophy for silencing a certain number of street performers? Cause I've capped a TON of them dudes, and nothing. It's almost like it's just a random thing you can do with no end result.

There's only one trophy for silencing street performers and thats
[Show spoiler]for silencing one doing the living statue thing, which, if you did that side mission where you had to take out a bunch of militia dressed as living statues, you already got it.
