Yes... but it's the movies they are licensing from WB for the sets.

What if Amazon.com were to sell out of the Limited Edition set what do you do then? No store has gotten any of the physical bluray discs yet so will Amazon keep track of how many copies they sell through pre-order out of their allotted stock that they have on order & if they sell out will they simply cancel all those whose pre-orders they can't fulfill?

I sent Shout an email from my order confirmation email they sent me. There was a link for customer service at the bottom. I emailed them a few hours ago saying I wanted to cancel and haven't heard back. I ordered via paypal, so it charged me instantly. I should've used a card, but I don't anticipate it being an issue. I had a $20 Amazon gift card, so this ended up costing $44 shipped. Nearly $40 cheaper. Like I said, for those that value the low collector's numbers and poster, they should stick with Shout. I personally couldn't justify the price difference. I have no doubt most people will be happy just to own this!

Put me down as another jumping ship from Shout Factory's full price to Amazon. I've eMailed their CS, but I'll call in a couple days to confirm.

If it were a $5~10 difference I'd take it on the chin and write it off as a poster tax. But a $24 difference? Really?! The artwork's nice and all, but I could get a full 27x40" piece from Alamo for less than that...

You can order 3 of them. I tried to put a bunch in my cart to see earlier.

I preordered at Amazon as well, just so I can secure it and decide later what to do exactly.

I'm keeping my SF order though for the poster. Like I always say, people collect these things and pay decent money for them once they sell out. In the long run the poster will likely pay for my copy.

Thanks. I ordered one from Amazon but also will keep my order with SF. The reason is that they will be shipping 2 weeks early and I want to make sure I have it in time for Halloween.

This is a long shot but it would be nice if the limited edition stock that amazon sells were handed over by Shout packaged protected that way amazon just simply scans a barcode and ships that package inside their mailer/ box.

I've bought many CD box sets like the Pink Floyd immersion sets that were shipped the same way and every single set was MINT when it arrived. Would be a nice precaution ESP since each copy will be limited numbered. And would ensure very few return issues.

OMG! Been forever since I've logged on... glad I did. I normally don't pre-order, especially paying 60 bones for a movie, but for some reason... REALLY dig this one. Pre-ordered BOOOOOOM! Thank you all for keeping this post recent

LIMITED EDITION SET (ONLY 5,000 NUMBERED SETS MADE):
- Disc 1: Unrated Director’s Cut of the film on Blu-ray
- Disc 2: The 1990 R-Rated theatrical version of the film on Blu-ray (through a special licensing agreement through Warner Bros.)
- Disc 3: EXCLUSIVE-TO-THIS-SET Bonus Blu-ray disc packed with extras (details forthcoming)
- Includes Collector’s Book with an essay and rare photos
- Slipcase includes newly-designed artwork by Joel Robinson approved by Clive Barker

SPECIAL EDITION SET:
- Disc 1: Unrated Director’s Cut of the film on Blu-ray plus bonus features (details forthcoming)
- Disc 2: Unrated Director’s Cut of the film on DVD (details forthcoming)
- Slipcase includes artwork designed by Ralph McQuarrie approved by Clive Barker

Does this make it seem that the bonus features on disc 1 will not be in the limited edition (unless its on disc 3). Wondering if I should pre-order both now?

Hmmm, I would imagine both Editions have the same disc for the Unrated Director's Cut, so whatever special features appear on that disc should be available for both Editions -- But I hope someone can verify that.

I didn't realize Ralph McQuarrie did the regular edition artwork. I hope that'll be available in the Limited Edition book or something.

I tried that earlier today and there was no limit then. I put 999 copies in my cart (the maximum they allow) and it would have allowed me to buy all of them (!!!) I really was just curious as to how many Amazon got, but it looks like they got over 1,000. Anyway, tried the same thing now, and it limits you to 3 copies. So that probably means they were flooded with orders this morning and in turn they have imposed a limit. This thing will not be around for long.

That's what's going to happen. They only mentioned the regular edition having extras so people know it's not going to be completely barebones.

I wonder if there is any chance Elfman's isolated score being one of the bonus features.
