What do you think is better? Black Hawk Down or Zero Dark Thrity? if you can only choose 1 steelbook to keep, which would it be?

To me you can't have one without the other Add the Hurt Locker for the perfect trifecta...

While I have all 4 of those, I like the line up of: Black Hawk Down, Act of Valor and Zero Dark Thirty.
Great movies and great looking steelbooks.

Just saw this movie the other night for the first time. Superb!

That end sequence is nail-biting, even though we all know the outcome. That's good cinema right there.

Just got Scarface used for $8 in mint condition , so I'm not convinced about that one. Zero Dark Thirty is definitely the most rare one that I own.

That's a good find. Excellent price for an excellent SB. I do agree with you on the "rarity" comparison.

I still see copies of Scarface at B&N and Target in downtown mpls. ZDT definitely the rarer of the two.

Pretty sure theyre all gone at bestbuy. LONG gone. Best way to get it now is ebay/third party seller or trading.

Sir I admitted later in that conversation that I had made an error.

I skipped this on release day because I didn't like the movie enough to rush out and buy it. Kind of kicked myself after seeing how rare they are now so I was very happy to find one last ZDT steelbook tucked away in the shelves at my local Best Buy yesterday. I feel like I won the lottery getting it in store this late. Also grabbed the last Les Miserables steelbook while I was there.

Pretty amazing they had both of those. At the three local BB's by me these both sold out on release day.

Hehe. I know it sounds unlikely. I do live in Alaska though, where we have a small population and usually not a lot of demand for collectibles and exclusives. Once the initial demand dies there aren't a lot of people here who will "pay more for the same thing in a fancy case." Not to mention that it's not like anybody in a few towns over can go on a short drive to come pick up the last one.

If it makes you feel any better I've checked every store in town and can't find those damn Begins and TDK steelbooks ANYWHERE. Pretty sure we didn't get them at all.

Okay fine then I take it back. Yes it sounds extremely unlikely to find a copy of both ZDT and Les Mis on the shelf at the same BB just a few days ago.

However, now that you disclose that you are in Alaska and seem to back up your claim with more details of the story, I suppose it could be true.

Well done.

I'm shocked at how easy it is to get these on eBay. The price really isn't that bad if you want one.

I found a copy at Best Buy in Pflugerville, Texas, but it was dented, so I left it on the shelf. Just a heads-up in case anyone wants a copy that is not mint. I asked if they would discount it since it was damaged and they said no. Oh well.
