Sorry if I missed it, but has there been a confirmation from Arrow that this set is sold out? Or are stores just waiting for more stock?

I received mine Tuesday. This thing is huge! Worth every cent. Wish the info book was hardcover, like the comic book.

Love all of the artwork on the discs and the books. Oh yeah, the Gyaos looks way better in the comic, than it does in the Guardian of the Universe movie!

Will start watching sometime this weekend.

UK edition is not sold out yet
USA edition is sold out or very close to been

UK edition is still available to order from Arrow Films UK/Amazon UK/HMV and some other UK/Ireland retailers

When Arrow announce it's sold out from their UK Webstore that is when it will be close to selling out from other UK retailers

Received package from Walmart, no padding inside the box, slight ding on the corner and plastic wrap torn, but nothing major. Hefty set.

So, what about those of us who pre-ordered from amazon? According to them, the box isn't even released yet. I've just got a noticed to expect it in September. I'm in no hurry, mind you.

I and many others who pre-ordered from Amazon already received their copies. Amazon may be getting some additional stock in September, or they may have just requested more but won't get it because it's sold out.

Question

So have we pretty much established at this point that there is no difference between the U.S. and U.K. sets? Other than minor cosmetic things like the UK rating symbol in the bottom right corner on the front and whatever other markings there may be in regards to the set's country of origin?

I wonder if the audio issues with Gamera the Brave are the same on the UK release?

Mine's from amazon.ca, mind you. Anybody else received a copy from them? I sold all of my mill Creek blu ray for this, trusting Arrow's release...

Yes, the data side of the discs are identical. The only difference's are ratings logos.

So are we to assume then that the audio glitches with Gamera the brave will also be on the UK set?

Yeah, if a problem is on the US discs, they will also be on the UK discs.

Price was a bit too steep for me at this time, especially since I have the previous BR releases. Gamera is my favorite heroic Kaiju and it was hard to pass this up, but the only thing I will miss is the info book. - That would have been cool to read.

Really looking forward to the standard edition at (hopefully) a great price and smaller packaging.

Where is the map supposed to be located?

Edit: found the map. You almost need a map to find the map.

Amazing set. My Wal-Mart order was shipped in a box and everything is in perfect condition.

I was expecting this set to be a big success, particularly with all of the love and attention to detail that Arrow put into it. But I am genuinely surprised that it (appears to have) sold out so incredibly quickly, to the point that not even all pre-orders have been able to be filled! That's crazy.

I wasn't planning on getting this for another month or two, but ended up jumping on a set from Amazon UK so as not to be left out in the cold. I sincerely hope they release a non-limited set sooner rather than later, for those who want it but haven't been able to get it.

Ok, thanks for the info.

I'm torn. Part of me wants to try and get the U.S. release from roninflix at base price with free shipping but there is no guarantee of getting a copy since they don't have a preorder function and there is no way of knowing when it will actually release. I've seen coming soon titles on their site get released anywhere from a week later to several months later depending on the release in question.

Granted in most cases the UK release isn't too much more depending on where you get it.
