I preordered it at the end of September, it was supposed to be released in November and I received it in December.

You just have to be patient.
They had to shut down their website for a while to catch up on the orders for their regular subscribers and Black Friday orders.
You should have received a $5 coupon for your inconvenience.

They are also in the process of pressing corrected VFX discs and automatically sending them to everyone who ordered from them which is very decent of them.

I'm not sure about that.
It does seem like he was a dumb ass to assume she was dead but when he gave that interview on Inside Edition he said he wasn't allowed to be with Tanya until it seemed like she was on her last legs and they were giving him the chance to say his final goodbyes and then they call him during an interview on live TV to tell him she is still alive.

His reaction: "NOW you're telling me she's alive?!!"
