Ben still has the New York accent. But it is more of a modern take, rather than the old school stereotypical version.

I guess, because his epidermis is rock, that means his inside is rock also. Rock stomach also. So he can only eat rocks. Even though multiple times in the comics, he has had the rocks removed and there is muscle and tendons shown. Like this.
