Thanks man! The 60s are great, the Studio 100s are something else...have you listened to them before? Paradigm 100s paired up with your Ultras would be unreal.

You know, when I used to peruse the AVS Forums...I know that your Rockets were mentioned in every other thread. I've always wanted to demo them because so many people raved about them.

Your're right, it is good that D_M doesn't post many pictures because we would probably be on his gallery 24/7 drooling.

I have heard a set of Digms a few years ago and I'm thinking they were an earlier set of Studios, much older but the sound was excellent and I was drawn to them like flys to....well you know.

I really need to get out to our local B&M and listen to the 60 & 100's, the most important thing is that my room is too big for the 450's in 2 channel for my plan was to get a set of 850's but now I will not buying another Rocket anything so I'm looking for aspeaker than can fill a larger room.

Well then the 100s would be a great solution for you then to fill a larger room. I know your Ultras can do it with ease.

How do you like your 690? I have a Bigfoot "RS200" and that speaker is the anchor of my system for its the reason I bought the rockets, to me its that good.

If the 690 is as good or better.....dang...I may have to find a way to get some Digms sent to me in Italy.

I cannot tell you how the 690 compares to the RS200 because I have never heard the RS200. However, ask anyone here that has the 690 (and there are many) and they will all tell you the same story...it's fantastic. The moment you take it out of the box and carry that monstrosity of a speaker...you know you have a well built solid product. Then you plug it in and...

I know that there are better centre speakers on the market but I have no need or desire to upgrade anytime soon...hasn't even crossed my mind...it's that good.

You just have to have a listen.

The CC-690 is a MONSTER!!

[Show spoiler]

Tufelhundin - Does this tempt you even more I re-sized these pictures in my gallery just so I can make them look big in here!! These should be BIG enough to fill "a larger room"!! Come on join the club. I was looking at the galleries to see how many Paradigm owners there actually are.. so far I bookmarked 60+. Come add on - we don't die we multiply .

I kind of want to do what some other speaker threads got with a list of owners and reviews but the OP is no longer active in this thread. I wonder if a MOD can do it. I got em all bookmarked already but I still probably missed a few.

A Mod made Justin the OP in the SVS thread. He can do that here as well. I agree DLS, good idea. I nominate you!

CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAPPPP! I just looked at your gallery and when I clicked on it it, I knew right off the bat which Digm's you had...dang! I'm using a NR1007 as of right now with no external....would it "external" be needed with 100's or would my avr suffice? Yours are bi-amped correct? I only looked at 1st pic and now trying to go off of memory. Did it really add to them vise no bi-amped? A lot of threads concerning that some say ye' some say nay. Just curios of your thoughts. I love the 100's and my plans are to make onle last major speaker purchase and I want quality, and I want room filling,(do not care for forward but love detail "My 450's come to mind")

I cant make the purchase soon...but I'm hoping to do so in the future, problem is being in Europe may cause a shipping problem. It did when I was in Italy back in 2002-2004 and was trying to order a PCU-12.

Thanks! Hmm that would be cool.. it would be easier if everyone could just add their names - kind of like how you click on poll #'s to see what each voted.
We should have a poll for newer owners that need to be added after.
Poll choices would be:

1. Paradigm
2 .Paradigm Reference
3. Combined setup of both like yours or mine.

This way we don't have to keep looking for newer owners and they can add themselves to be updated on the main list.

Thanks!!

I guess it all depends.. you have a larger than average listening room - it might not be needed with your receiver but an amp would benefit for sure. Your receiver is a 135wpc with 9ch's and mine is 7ch's at 125 but I already had the amp before getting the Studio's so I never tried them with the Marantz alone. I will say that they do sound amazing and I feel much better using an amp and have never noticed any strain on the speakers even at LOUD volumes. The Studios are not asking for more but like you I 'm sure if I gave them more they could/would sing better!!

I don't actually have them bi-amped - I just use bi-wire speaker cables which probably don't do much or anything but make it look nicer

Keep us posted on your decision even if it may take awhile who knows they might even have a version upgrade again within the next year.. or two.

I'm blown away! Great job DLS!!! Lists like this just make it so easy for people to get information. Well done. I still think that you should be the keeper of this info since you took the time to put it together. Quite frankly, you are the most known and knowledgeable member of Paradigm gear.

Wow, DLS! Impressive!

I've been thinking about upgrading ever since I first got the MMs. Not because I don't like them - I love them so much I want to take it to the next level!

I'm getting a nice expense check from work pretty soon & I'm already planning on dropping in on my dealer next week. I was originally thinking Studio 10s but I'm kind of hoping/expecting to be talked into 20s. I might give the Sig 1s & 2s a listen, but I'm pretty sure they're beyond what I need (and can afford!).

Definitely looking forward to joining the ranks of the 'Combined Systems'!

I am in need of a stand for my CC290. Does anyone know of a good deal on a quality stand without spending a ton of money. I don't want to spend the money on the stand from Paradigm. I need a stand roughly 24". It can be shorter but no taller.
