Recently went through the series again and still loved it.

Regarding Season lengths, I think most shows sweetspot is anywhere from 12/13 to 18 episodes. Granted, with good shows like this, I generally won't complain about more. I agree with those that said the budgets, especially with streaming shows, are now so much that they can only afford the 8 (and sometimes less) episodes a season. It is what it is, I guess.

Another Lost Fan here. I came across this series in 2007 and watched first 2 seasons on DVD at the time and didn't get chance to follow the series during its broadcast.

Binge watched the entire series in 10 days when the Complete series released in Bluray back in 2010. Loved every minute of it.

During pandemic watched the series again and it was as exciting as first time.

Now I am watching 5-6 eps a week with my 8 & 14yr old kids on Netflix. It is hell of a fun looking at their excitement and listening to their discussions.

Been rewatching with my boyfriend lately- his first time seeing it, and my first time in ages. In a way, it feels like my first time, since when I watched it as it aired before, I was too young to really appreciate what it was saying and just liked it for the twists and turns. I'm really appreciating it more now that I understand the deeper meanings and motivations and everything. We're about to start season 5, which I'm really interested to see my boyfriend's reaction to; luckily we're both big nerds, and one of his favorite shows is Fringe, so he's no stranger to time travel or alternate universes or other crazy, big ideas.

I'm not expecting any new revelatory information in this doc (though a detailed description of the planned storyline involving Mr. Eko would be amazing). It'll just be nice to see new interviews with some of the people involved in one of my favourite shows. It's only playing in theatres for two nights in my town (November 3rd and 6th) so I'll likely just have to catch it when it hits streaming.

One of the reasons LOST is more than a TV show is because it has a strong spiritual core, much like Star Wars and Avatar: The Last Airbender. That's why people care about it so much. If someone thinks it is just a dumb show, it tells me they aren't tuned into that aspect of the show. Some people are sensitive to it, some people aren't.

If I ever meet Michael Emerson I am going to say to him: "Loved the show (pregnant pause) LOVED the ending too!"

EDIT: By spiritual I don't mean something airy fairy like there is an immaterial world beyond our own, or something like lighting a candle and pretending to have an experience, I mean that the show is very tuned into what makes life and reality beautiful for the human being, and the things that block people from experiencing life and reality as such.
