I think what most people respond to in the Criterion layout is the rigid structure, uniformity and easy customization. People don't necessarily associate it with, or reserve it for, art-house cinema any longer. Whenever I use the Criterion layout for something, it's always a bit tongue-in-cheek, naturally.

These are Blu-ray covers for Harmy's despecialized editions, L8wrtr's Prequel Trilogy and Q2's Fall of the Jedi trilogy.

In addition to Star Wars, Indiana Jones fan edits are to follow.
My god....those are gorgeous. I rather dig the different subtitles and overall feel of the covers....

I love uniformity as well. I would have loved all BD's to have one spine-design (I don't mind different title designs, bigger or smaller cases) and stuck with it. A nice Wii or Playstation 2 (PS3 are more varied in the UK) games collection looks great on a shelf BD's just look messy.

I've seen a few guys trying to do one-design fits all and I think they look great.

Default House Season Six (6) and Seven (7)

Anyone have covers for House Season Six (6) and Seven (7)?

I hate the cardboard cases they come in, and want to switch them into regular BluRay cases.

Thanks!

Sorry, just 'forwarding' to make sure my request is at least heard...and laughed at if that's what you feel lol.

I've never been able to view that cover the same way after a funny observation was made by another forum member here saying it looked like a polar bear was asleep on top of his head.
Now, I see it every time and I can't take that cover art seriously anymore.

Default James Bond 007 Custom Blu-ray Cover

On Her Majesty's Secret Service.

Once again I had to rely on RobertM's previous cover to source a part of Diana Rigg's shoulder. The lower arm I took from a still of her in The Avengers.

Is it just me or are there next to no exciting images out there for this film? All images and screenshots are head-shots only. How about a nice, high quality still of some of the locations or the stunts or the vehicles?

Just Spy Who Loved Me and You Only Live Twice to go.

Phew!

Yeah, they use a database to cross-check and avoid spammers. Apparently you have a namesake twin out there who is on the black list. Just enter something completely different/arbitrary as a username to register and then ask the admins nicely to change it to something else afterwards.

Thanks!

That seems to have worked. I thought it was a problem with my e-mail address or IP, but changing those didn't change anything. It seems I'm now waiting for approval.

2. Would the original artist (who I'm assuming knows you're using his/her work to make a blu-ray cover out of it) know and consent to a pointless Criterion label being slapped on the edge?

That is all.

Here is a Resident Evil cover I have started on, but I am not sure about the front cover part. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

It's a decent start. Stupid question but is this going to be for all 5 movies? You may at least want to consider holding off considering they are more than likely making the 6th film.
