I don't think anybody is "calling out" the folks at CHCanada/Cineetcie, Vince; we are merely voicing our frustration at the failings in the system, not the people involved.
The CHC folks are on here for a reason, and that's to improve their service. If we don't tell them what's not working, how are they going to know?? Props to them for listening to us fickle folks in the first place... HDM |

The problems with shipping from chcanada.com and columbiahoue.ca are not Canada Post.
They have to almost always be internal Columbia House issues with shipping between their US and Canada operations plus backordered titles. Of course there is no way to know what is going on since they don't provide any kind of status to their customers. I really don't see how anyone on here could criticize SavvyGuy or anyone on their phone support lines - it is certainly not their fault. Like someone said above it's their ordering/shipping system and the lack of communication of statuses to their customers. Online stock status before/when ordering and some type of processing/shipping status progression (like from order received -> waiting for inventory -> inventory received -> shipped to customer or order received - item backordered) would go a very long way to make customers much happier. |

Well it sounds like you guys already know what is happening with your orders, so why all the questions? Maybe I'm just lucky, but I've never had an issue recieving any of my orders. If I did, I think contacting CHcanada by phone would probably be the best bet? Have you guys tried that?

i watched waterworld last night, quality is very nice, nearly full screen too, but geez, that underwater scene, with the underwater city, was, well, so crappy lol
just a warning apart from that i still cant see why ppl hated this movie so much, its so awesome :P |

It appears from what I could translate on the Cineetcie.ca web site that the membership agreement (buy 2 dvd/blu's a year) is exactly the same as Chcanada.com and joining is still free? Is there anything different between the two sites other than bilingual covers that I should be aware of when it comes to buying movies? I'm mostly interested in buying blu-rays on Cineetcie.ca like I do on Chcanada.com. Will they communicate to you in English if you have a problem with an order? If anyone can list any major differences between dealing with both sites I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Sign up is the same, same price and obligation. As for covers, you will get bilingual covers from either site, I have read that Cineetie.ca has some titles with french only covers and bilingual covers taht you can choose which you want, or look at the product picture and that would show if it was french only, that being said I have never come across any titles that I wanted that didnt have an english cover. Cineetie.ca also seems to have less 13.99 titles available than chcanada. Hope that helps, well worth the free sign up IMO. |

As for the emails, as far as i remember, they are in french, but if you use the live chat system, you will be responded in english (well, last time i used it). The main differences between those 2 sites is the language used and the deals. Hope it helped you... |
