The UK disc probably doesn't look any different. People just think it does because of less extras.

What's the point of moaning about how it came to be?
The way I see it, you're the only one moaning.

I probably wouldn't watch the Director's Cut without the Maximum Movie Mode anyway, so I'm not that fussed. I just wanted all three versions in the same set, with most amount of extras possible.

Thought the Bond cover designers might appreciate some of the Skyfall artwork here...

http://illustrated007.blogspot.co.uk/

Especially the From Russia With Love style design.

Probably doesn't? It definitely does. It's not a case of people just thinking it does. Besides, what does PQ have to do with extras?

I don't think we're allowed to link to other forums, but there's a thread called "Watchmen - Warner (DC) vs Paramount (TC) Blu-ray comparison PIX" at avsforum.

Edit (reply to Boomstick_316 below so we can stay OT): I know that, I misinterpreted what he meant. But still, he was saying it probably doesn't look different and that people just think it does, when it's a fact that it does look different. People don't think it looks different because of less extras, they think it looks different because it actually looks different.

Also, it's a different encode (AVC vs VC-1) so it's not just a case of a higher bitrate.

Really? The more extras there are on a disc, leaves less room on that disc for the movie information.

The US Director's Cut has the Maximum Movie Mode which is a Warner exclusive so won't be on the UK released Paramount disc. Therefore, Paramount had extra room on the disc to increase bitrates and whatever else.

And technically, that Vader image is from Jedi. The obvious hanger light reflections are a dead giveaway.

Don't mess with the Wars, man

Just kidding. These are nice and airy designs. Are the UK ratings on the sides part of the final design? If they are I'd love to hear your reason for including them.

That's Awesome! I can't wait to see them when they're finished. Kingdom of Heaven might look good in that style cover as well.

The Title Treatment proved exceptionally bothersome this time. I wanted to include the ring, but treat it as a separate layer that I could move and resize independantly of the letters. I also had to rearrange the TT to fit neatly on the spine.

For those so enclined, you'll note Pierce has a broken arm just like Connery :-)
Do you have a link to download this cover?

Hey guys I'm new here, hell new to forums in general. Great covers guys. I really like the Criterion covers. I see some people asking for people to make covers for them. Don't kill me. Can someone make a Criterion Killer Klowns from Outer Space? I know, I know. The family loves this movie and I just cant stand looking at the cover. I was thinking a cotton candy hanging sack or the gun or something. Any takers? Be gentle I'm fragile.
