Ahh man, now I feel bad, because I was going for playfully sarcastic.

Oh well. See Hedwig anyway.

On the movie or me? I know what you were doing with the "What?" and all. I was just being the nice CG there.

Speaking of..... I'm at a mix of giddy anticipation, and terror regarding the upcoming "mid-July" sale who's name I will not speak........

On second thought.... I've saved about about dozen of the "Work From Home" emails from my in-box, so if I reply to them all, I should be making about 30-Grand a week in no time........ so what am I worried about

Yeah, as much as I have loved another B&N sale for a while now, I am not ready $-wise, so I'll prob not get as much stuff as I wanted.

With the forthcoming Barnes and Noble sale on Criterion product, I have a couple of queries...
1. Is it absolutely 100% confirmed that it is going to happen, or is it just wishful thinking?
2. Is it likely or possible that Amazon will also have a sale on Criterion discs around this time?

They had lower prices at the time of the B&N sale, but don't think everything was as cheap as $13 for 1 disc dvds and $20 for blus and 2-disc dvds like B&N. But I remember stuff was down in the lower $20s at the very least.

Since it's coming out in England, I hope for a Criterion Release of "Vengeance is mine" from Shohei Imamura.

You can add another pro-hedwig vote. Not only is it a rather incredible movie, but the songs are killer. I own the soundtrack and listen to it all the time. I've wanted to cover the song "angry inch" for forever. Any of you that haven't seen it, highly recommended.

And to throw my regional two cents in, I was born and grew up in alabama and have lived in Georgia the past couple years. Yeah, there's a fair share of rednecks and douchnozzles, but as others have pointed out, awful people live everywhere. By that token, really awesome folks are always around too. Ya just gotta find them.

I don't recall them pricematching the summer sale, but they definitely did during the winter one. For almost a month every criterion blu at the time was around $20 bucks. It's where I got my initial criterion blus from. It seems like amazon staggered theirs to begin just as the b and n one was ending, if I remember correctly

Hey I have a quick question regarding Vivre Sa Vie.

In the scene at the restaurant where there is a shooting outside, there is a shot of her running towards the door of the restaurant. While the audio in the scene has no problems, the video appears to "skip" a bit. As in it looks like some framers are missing, or something. Is this intentional, a problem with the source, or a problem with my disc? Thanks in advance.

By the way, I liked the film a lot, thanks to whoever it was that recommended it for me earlier in this thread!

Amazon did price match. In fact, Third Man was $15 last summer.

Where the heck is "Seven Samurai"???
For six months it's been advertised for release this year, and the cover is finally out now, but no specific date.

Suggestions for Criterion in 2011: "Nanook of the North", "Pandora's Box", "The Thief of Baghdad", "Fanny and Alexander", "Brazil", "Robocop", "The Unbearable Lightness of Being", "The Royal Tennenbaums", "The Life Aquatic".

As far as Amazon price-matching dollar-for-dollar... I don't recall it happening. Amazon had a select number of titles (40 to 50) priced at $17.99 last year during one, if not both, of the B&N sales. I remember picking up "A Night To Remember" for that price after the B&N sale had ended.

I'm guessing CG recommended it

Also..... That effect was intentional..... it does it a couple of times.....

EDIT: I see CC beat me to that one.... I'll throw in my $0.02 on the Amazon/B&N thing.... they were $17.99 and $18.99 pretty much across the board, but DID NOT include the pre-orders from what I recall...... (Amazon that is)

To the best of my knowledge, Criterion hasn't announced any cover-art for this one yet..... but stay tuned!

I watched Mystery Train last night...... Funny funny funny stuff.....
