I am working on all 3 using the criterion DVD artwork. I like to use official criterion artwork on most of the films they released on DVD but not blu-ray. The only exceptions I have on my shelf are Chasing Amy (rdz used the insert artwork which I prefered anyway) and I am using the Blu-ray artwork for The Most Dangerous Game because the DVD art is boring

Default Request for 6-disc custom covers for Dark Angel on DVD-but for a Blu-ray case!

Hi everyone,

Anyone interested in putting together custom covers for the first and second series of Dark Angel (on DVD), but so that they would fit in two (2) 6-disc vortex cases? I'm willing to pay if the quality is good.

The dimensions: 6-3/4" x 5-5/16" x 7/8" (21.8mm).

I think this would look really cool, and bet a big step up from the flimsy cardboard DVD cases.

PM if you're interested in working on this.

Thanks!

I've been using coverXP to print my covers, but they almost always print a little short. Anyone know what may be the problem? They fit nicely, and look good, but when you look at the spine, you can tell the spine is a little thin.

These will all be up on CustoManiacs sometime this week.
Great work! And congratulations on completing the set!

Yeah, they really were scraping the bottom when they put these together. I'm not saying I could have done better... Oh hell, yes I could. :-)

(and he wanted the front artwork to be replaced with the DVD artwork while I was at it.)
If we start to change the title of the film, isn't this where we are on "deep water..." ?

I've been tempted to make a cover for the first Back to the Future film, but changing the title to "Spaceman From Pluto".

It's been a while since I've used it and looked at the settings, but what you have to do is make a profile for the case you want with the spine width required. I had the same problem as you before I did that. It doesn't (or at least didn't) come with a full set of profiles covering the different Elite and Vortex/Amaray cases. Again, it's the width of the spine (in mm) that makes the difference.
Also, just a bit of general info for anyone reading this, be aware whether your printer places a border around the sheet, reducing the actual printable area. Two ways around that: One -- See if your printer can do borderless printing -- Two -- Use larger paper (8.5x14 Legal or 11x17).

Hope this helps.

Sorry if this has come up before but, does anyone here have a custom for "The Incredible Hulk"? I've looked everywhere, nothing. Thanks.

I'd have no problem making one, did you know what you wanted included on it?

The reason I do custom cover art is if the blu-ray came in a case that was too thick to fit on my rack or a boxed set because I like each movie to have it's own case. For example I've done ones for the Jurassic Park Trilogy, Back to the Future Trilogy, Collateral Damage and Eraser because I purchased them when they were put together in one case and of course the Dark Knight Rises because I purchased the broken cowl edition which does not come with an actual blu-ray case.

Let me know...

Hey Nissen, I know you are knee deep in customs, but when you get a chance can you replace the movie heroes with their comic version over Watchmen on the back cover? I'm curious to see what that would look like.

Thanks. I've been to originaltrilogy.com before but it can get a bit daunting.

As for green, it's actually closer to a very dark yellow. I'm not sure - I guess I was going for analagous colors but this is all one big R&D project for me. Nothing is set in stone.

I've always wanted to see someone make a "The Big Lebowski" in a new, different direction. Love that film. Damn, now I'm going to have to watch it again.
