Lucky. I had to read it in both 6th and 9th grades.

Due to all the required readings, and massive amounts of homework, I never had the time to read for pleasure in my youth. Everything was forced upon me, and it wasn’t until I was an adult that I could read the books I really wanted to.

Well I do wish that I read more than I do. I've felt this way for some time now. I did buy several books at Barnes & Noble years ago. Well several as in maybe a dozen. I never got around to reading them though so they're just sitting in a box. I'll get started one day though I hope and I'm sure that I'll start the Diary within the next week or so

we had to read the play in english class in the 12th grade. like, read it aloud in class. we all had to pick a part.

then...we had to draw a scene that had been described in the book. basically, we all drew the room where here and her family stayed. we also had to write a 2-page essay on it to go along with the drawing. which i thought sucked because one, we were in an english class NOT an art class. and, two, not everyone can draw all that well. and were graded on how good the drawing was.

but what do you expect from an english teach that kept liquor in her cabinet in the classroom?

I had a theatre design class in college, I got so tired of my crappy drawings not really depicting what I wanted that I asked my professor if I could use legos and take pictures. I built many amazing stage sets and gave her a thumb drive with the pics on it.

I am think about splurging on Oiler tickets for tonight or Saturday. They're fn expensive though. Do I ask/tell my spouse? Or do I just do it and say we're going?
Hmmmm...

Did anyone else get any or did you hog it all?

Listening to Citizen King's Better Days and then Len's Steal My Sunshine and thinking about all the good music that's been made. I didn't choose to watch SMS but it was the next video and now the New Radicals' You Get What You Give is playing

Not real big on Pitbul, not real big on Kesha, but that Timber song is pretty good.

I had no idea when the song was released and was wondering if it was out when I was in Ireland back in the fall of 2013 and according to wiki;
"Timber" made its first chart appearance on October 7, 2013, in the Republic of Ireland, where it debuted at number 67 on the Irish Singles Chart."

i'm thinking i'm never going to have a better job than i do right now.

every time i go to apply for one, i just keep reading more and more about qualities i don't have for manual labor jobs.

as well, thanks to a mistake i made 18 years ago i don't get any responses, other than negative, due to this one sentence:

"Requires a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check."

it's like you make a mistake and you have to pay for it for the rest of your life with no one offering any forgiveness.

You can't get help from employment agencies? Makes me glad I don't have any criminal offenses or failed drug tests on record. I've committed crimes and smoked pot but never been caught.

It’s not even Halloween yet, but there are Christmas movies pretty much all day on the Hallmark Channel.
