Yea I impulsed bought them then regretted it but now I love them, they've taken over my exotic slot for anything against thralls.

I don't think it has anything to do with not putting in the effort. Not trying to defend the cheese, but when your fire team has lower level folks, or people with toons not fully leveled in each class, or under-leveled / under-powered weapons, you'll have a hard time getting through Crota without cheese. To me, this raid is much more weapon-dependant than VoG. Of course, one can have all of the above things going against them and do just fine if they're in a group of higher level guardians loaded-out with Gjallarhorns, Fatebringers and Ice Breakers.

Thankfully our group tonight is fully stacked, so I expect things to run smooth as a Swiss watch. 😃

I'm the only one tonight in my group with ghorn but have no fatebringer or ice breaker. And with over 300 hours of play. Such is the stupid loot system. Lol

Yeah, RNG seems to play a bigger part in this raid than before. At least in terms of how easy/difficult getting through some parts may be.

Weekly Nightfall on my Warlock gave me an Exotic chest for my Hunter. Makes sense.
