Dreams are weird and fascinating. Sometimes I dream that I'm back in elementary school or the house I grew up in but people I didn't know until many years later are present. Other times, you're in some kind of fun (or scary) adventure and you've gotten a random celebrity or two accompanying you. I was once trapped in a spooky, haunted old theater with Sigourney Weaver armed with a flamethrower!

And I've been chased through basements or hallways by the likes of Michael Myers and Freddy Krueger.

And then there are the strange dreams where you're just doing typical everyday things: driving around town, shopping, eating, etc. I usually find those the weirdest because it's like "Don't I get enough of this stuff when I'm actually awake?" LOL!

I don't recall many flying dreams but the other type (where you know you're dreaming) are called lucid dreams. I've had them occasionally but not very often. Usually when I've woke up but then fallen back asleep for only a short time before then actually getting up. They're interesting. It's like a typical dream, yet somehow you're aware of and can even kind of physically feel that you're still laying in bed asleep.

Never had a dream like that Himmel. I remember one nightmare from over 30 years ago and it was where my dad was broom fighting the Wicked Witch of the West.

What about good dreams where you wake up and think daaaamn, it was all a dream

I've been startled out of dreams before (recently there was one where I was in the back of a truck with a sheet or blanket draped over the entrance, and someone threw a skunk[?!] in at me) with my heart pounding and being all disoriented, but never to the point where I can't get back to sleep after a few minutes. Usually I get a drink of water, take a pee, and go back to bed, and I'm asleep again inside of ten minutes.

I've never woken up shaking from fear but I've woken up from scary dreams with a jolt. There have been dreams where something is attacking my feet or crawling up my legs, and I start kicking them to get whatever it is off of me, and I literally wake myself up kicking my legs for real. One time I dreamed I was playing soccer and when I kicked the ball, I woke myself up because I kicked my leg for real and smashed my toes into the wall beside my bed. Ouch!

Damn, I know I've kicked the bed before and I was alright but...it's been so long ago but I think I might have done the same thing before; kicking something because I thought I was playing soccer. Maybe that didn't happen but I did play soccer for a couple years when I was really young.

I think someone needs to start a woman advice thread. Maybe Monterey Jack can do it

So do I, and every time I realize it's a dream. Either I stand on the porch and just take off, or I'm surrounded by people and tell them, "Watch this", then start floating. I even tell my dream people this isn't possible, and that they aren't real. They get mad and I become nervous, lol they try to convince me it's real.

I've decided to take a break from FB - that 99 day break challenge.
Lately just the mindless drivel of fake news websites, Trump this Trump that and all other garbage is starting to ware me down.

Tried blocking the website on my mac to make it easier but for some odd reason it won't do it.
