Summer Glau should just come stay here. I won't cancel her.

Couldn't understand where Monday night episode was headed at all, having the Cape and Chess working together to stop the train goes against everything the first two episode represents.

They're using every cliche they can, I don't think they're looking for credibility. People take this show entirely too seriously.

agree, plus, the two guys need to work together to save the train and (more importantly for Chess) themselves, is it that unrealistic that they would.

The one thing this show has going for it is that the superhero is actually going out into the world and being active (Even fighting crime! Imagine a superhero doing that!), as opposed to Heroes where they just moped around for the entire season and then had a two minute fight at the end (which, granted, is still 1:45 longer than the Smallville fights).

It's a common comic book plot device almost every superhero has worked with their arch nemesis towards the greater good. Examples would be Spider-man & Venom, Spider-man & Punisher many times, Batman & the Joker.

I think it was self preservation on Chess' part and desire to save the innocent people on the train on The Cape's part. They had no choice but to work together.

I'm really liking this show better than I thought I would. It's extremely cheesy at times, but I'm loving it!

The Cape a pretty good episode last night and it did relatively good according to the ratings. It did drop a little form last week.

While still fourth in its time period its done the following the past two weeks....

"The Cape" (5.3 million, 3.2/5) - Last night
"The Cape" (5.9 million, 3.5/5) - Last week

Ohhhh I am shocked, shocked I say!!!! Summer Glau maintains her tv show Kryptonite status.

NBC Cuts Back Order For 'The Cape' from 13 Episodes to 10
Quote:
Things are not looking good for midseason drama The Cape. NBC just cut the order to the comic book-inspired series from 13 to 10. That means stop of production for the show, which is now wrapping Episode 10. After an OK start on Sunday earlier this month, The Cape has been sliding in its regular Monday 9 PM slot. Last night, the show drew a 1.5/4, down 6% for a series low.

I'll watch the remaining episodes, but NBC shutting down production after episode 10 means the show is pretty much dead. I bet there was probably scripts ready for the remaining 3 episodes, so the default "Season/Series" Finale will probably be incomplete.

It's just a poorly written show. Nothing jumps out on you and no one resonates at all. The most interesting character is Chess, the main villian, and he's not all that great. I'm thinking about the entire layout of the show right now, the circus gang, Max, Orwell, the mother and son and not one single aspect is interesting. It's just a very very bad show.

With Chicago Code starting next Monday, this show is done.I know i will be over at Fox.

It was a good concept but I think the writers made the show too comical and the acting is pretty bad.

All of my expectations were dashed after the pilot episode. Too much wasted potential.

I will finish watching it. Most of the shows I like get canned anyway. I'm looking at you Middleman and pushing Daisies. I'm holding out hope for V.

I called it's cancellation back when I heard the premise last May, I dug my heels in on it's cancellation once Summer's name was attached to it, and I shook my head after watching the pilot and realizing it was just as bad as I expected, and the casting, writing and stories where over all shit for this show.

I liked it because it was different and thats why it was canceled (presumed). People dont want different shows they want the same ole crap. Just Watch Harry's Law that follows it. Now I'm not gonna defend it because I certainly get what's not to like about it. What I will offer NBC is dont even bother with Wonder Woman. Ur just wasting ur time.

Funny you say that Moe.

My bro and I watched the premiere while visiting a cousin of ours in Roosevelt Island, NY.

All we could think about was (holy crap, there will probably be 7 seasons of this guy, getting stabbed and hurt and that it would probably take 7 years before his wife and kid finds out that he is the cape).

We just kept laughing about it.
