I put them in a wish list and work down the list by priority, price, and availability.

I have some BluRays on a "must own" list. Regardless of price I buy it.
Those are pretty much already collected.

I then have the list of "future releases", waiting until they come out....IF they ever come out. I'll get those regardless of price in many cases.

I have the "will own" flicks that I base on price. When I see them at bargain prices, I will get them.

Then there are the random ones...flicks I've seen before but forgot about. When I see them on the shelves, I get them, price withstanding.

Then there is finally the "blind buy". I only have 4 or 5 of these in my library, in general I'm not a huge blind buy fan.

1st off, i only buy them if they are at a good price, i dont spend more than $25 dollars on a blu ray, unless i feel like spoiling myself with a steelbook, or getting a collectors set of a fav movie

i only buy fav movies and must owns, lots of movies i own on blu i have seen 5+ times before i bought them, i rarely blind by unless all i hear is good things about the movie and it has a good transfer, or if its something i have been dying to see, but then it has to be at a really good price, in case i hate it lol

I create a 2 wishlists of titles I am interested in. The first wishlist I write for movies I might forget. The second wishlist is for films I remember, for these I usually don't bother to write a list.

Then I check the prices for the titles on my wishlists in as many shops all around the world as much as possible, and as frequently as possible.

Also I try to buy all genres. I like to own films from as many genres as possible. Becuse one day I only like to watch comedys, one day horror, one day dramas, or sometime something else. I think I can enjoy even more my movies this way of "rotating genres".
