Whoa, whoa, whoa! lol, Are you serious?!?! I'll agree with Nathan Drake, but i felt Kratos was VERY one dimensional (but still awesome) and had less character (or about the same) than Cole did.

And damn, i missed the scans haha . I'll have to see them elsewhere...

It's not too bad, but his look is still bothering me. Having melee weapons to electrify is kinda cool, but it doesn't go into the 'superhero' role i imagined Cole having.

I guess i'll get this for the gameplay and story, as i wanted to kick the Beast's ass as soon as i saw the image of him hahaha. Cole's new look and character will annoy the hell out of me, but there's nothing that can be done to fix that. I believed Cole's grumpiness helped him as a character since now he seems like just another protagonist in a video game. Ah well...

Massive graphics upgrade from inFAMOUS. Better looking than most non-sandbox games.

And they got rid of the lowercase 'in-' it's INFAMOUS 2, unless the magazine made that logo up.

In the one from the first game and the image from the cover, he has the same light stubble pattern (though it is less grown in on the one from inFAMOUS), and a more similar facial structure than the original Cole vs the new image you just posted. The one from the cover has a more rounded head, bigger nose and more protruding ears, obviously the hair.

Both new Coles look to have a different skin tone than the original. And both seem to be a little more lean than he was before....or maybe its just the jacket of the original Cole that makes me think that?

The newest image also has the same facial stubble pattern, which seems to be about as grown in as the original Cole. A much more similar nose and ears.


In the scans there really wasn't any great in game shots of his face.

In the article, they speculate that you may gain ice elemental power (Sucker Punch wouldn't comment it said I believe)...which would make sense, as the images we have seen of The Beast in inFAMOUS showed him to apparently be a fire powered individual.

The new Cole reminds me of a character out of Mirror's Edge and not in a good way. Doesn't have the same feel to me way to "X"games. Actually Cole looks like a douche now IMO.

Cole's gone from bland-passable to one of the best looking characters in a game to date I think.

I wonder what the morality system will be like? If they want us to make morality choices based on the circumstances and not min/maxing our character, they're going to have to make some serious changes to the leveling system.

I think the promise of two "radically different endings" is enough to get me to go through twice to do each side of the morality feature (assuming I enjoy that first time through).

I don't see the same better graphics, but it does look really cool.

All of the first game's weaknesses, judge-able in stills look greatly improved.



Building's were blocky, only layered with the necessary brick/stone textures, none of the grime and wear&tear seen in the i2 shots. There's much more texture variety and 3D detail in i2.

Shadows blocked up regularly, quality dropping dramatically at mid and long distance.





There's more subtle, natural lighting in i2, yet there's more contrast in the environment because of the extra 3D/texture variety.

Fire and explosions were very flat, not dense and detailed enough.





Looks sorted in i2.

Can't wait for the direct-feed i2 shots to do a proper comparison.
