I can narrow it down to three.

Stephen King - Night Shift
Stephen King - Salems Lot
Vincent Bugliosi and Curt Gentry - Helter Skelter

If I had to take one it'd probably be Salems Lot. I don't recall the first book I read but Salems Lot (my first King experience) was the first that really transported me to another place. Reading his books as a young boy was brilliant. His books were vivid in my imagination like no other author. All young people should read his books.

Well, since I have read only 2 books so far, it has to be The Shining.

Book 1 (out of 3) in the Paratwa Saga. IMO: Absolutely the best SciFi series ever written.

It's the funniest book I have ever read.

I cannot choose just one. I have read thousands and thousands of books, and there are several dozen that I could sit down and re-read right now.

Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance! The sequel, Lila, is also good. Some other favorites... Fahrenheit 451, Solaris, and Jane Eyre.

Best sci fi ever written for a series and author I've never heard of is very intriguing. Looks like it's out of print, a Kindle edition coming in October. I've added it to my list.

I can no more pick a favorite book than I can a movie or a cat. I love so many.

Too many to list! But some that come to mind are:

- James Agee - A Death in the Family
- William Shakespeare - Everything, but especially The Tempest
- Shirley Jackson - The Haunting of Hill House
- Stephen King - Everything
- Scott Smith - The Ruins
- Michael Cunningham - The Hours
- Annie Proulx - Close Range: Wyoming Stories

My favorite book to date is Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. I have tried to work on the piece of advice that Robert suggests in the book and I am close to achieving financial freedom. He makes it look so easy and the way he portrays examples of it is amazing. I would suggest this book to everyone who is struggling financially and wants to achieve more in life!
