No I mean't do I have to pay at all. I know it sounds greedy, but making this enormous site you guys are asking about is pretty time-consuming to create over the summer; that's the only reason. Right now I use freewebs.com and I can post all the options they present to me with expanding the site. But I made the group so I'll invite everyone now.

That website look nice, i think the premise is great but to have all four of our leagues ot have all those stats and such will be an undertaking.

I think some of those things are needed, and can be infused in the forums rather then the website.

once you create a database, cant you just 'copy it' to the other leagues?

the database seems like the hardest part

in any case......is there anyway to copy the code from the link i provided and use that exact same template for my league?

It's possible to do that by viewing their site source, but it would be considered as stealing.

I invited everyone to the group (Commishioners). We'll discuss it there. Right now this thread only has to worry about recruits. (:

AFC West is being messed around with a bit. I believe Denver, San Diego, and Kansas City will all be reserved by the end of the day, while the Miami Dolphins and the New York jets will be open for the taking. (Team Switching)

I have to speak my mind on the website situation

We all (me along with Biggy and JFlynn) feel that this "SUPER" Madden Franchise website is extremely unnecessary. All the stats and scores are already posted on each individual franchise, Madden has done the work for us why make someone else work (FOR FREE) to repost all that SH*T.

And why do we need all the leagues on one site? it seems like alot of (FREE) work for everyone involved not to mention the people who have to PAY!! Especially the ones like us (and I'm sure their are others) who do not want this at all!! Its a good idea from an organization stand point but other than that its too much work for the little amount of benefit received from it.

Just start a poll involving everyone in all the leagues so we can see who is actually interested and how much support there is!!

Im more than willing to be a commish as well, as Ive stated I commished 3 leagues last year and plan to this year as well!!

i think there are too many leagues on this site (yes i run the original one)
we should branch off and create a gaming website. then we can incorporate an mlb the show league & nba league in the future.
we are hampered in this forum as to the congestion of every forum member seeing this
i cant even create a new thread about my game......it gets pinned into a general mass fprum thats 3000 posts

it would also be nice to have a game scheduling forum so we can see who is active and who isnt, instead of going thru 30 pages of posts

god forbid you dont post for 2-3 days, who the hell wants to go back and read thru all the pages they missed?

plus to have a 'main page' where we can post weekly gamenhighlights, mvp's etc is very beneficial

in other words, we have become too big for this forum and need a dedicated site

Should we break it down to see what leagues we need HERE?

Pill and I submitted our Sign Up Threads for 2011 since March. Since this league is just a day old the teams are being filled in this league as well. Does something have to give? Not saying we need to let this league go, but maybe we can just have 1 or 2 leagues at most on this website?

I like the prize money mainly because it keeps the same owners from Day 1. This prevents owners from quitting in the middle of the season, and when a newbie arrives doesn't know jack and when you provide all the PM info, read the rules etc... they don't follow it.

As being commish in Don's thread, I've maybe ran into at least 10 owners that didn't read, or they only played 1 game and never heard from again. Prize money weeds out the players who's serious about playing, and the ones that just want to try out for a short period of time.

It gets annoying repeating yourself over time.

those same people that leave a non $ league are the same ones who cheese everygame in a $ league.

i was in a $ league for madden 08 and it turns cheesey come playoff time or when someone needs a 1st down/late game drive.

since we are going on dates, my league has been up since april of last year

Yeah but you left after Season 1.
Also I made the "cheese league" so that way all the fuss, and complaints will be eliminated because the commish can't see everything, or every game.

But can we try to keep all this debating and advertisement, etc. etc., out of this thread, please? Me and Blast are just trying to fill up the league for '11. We only need like 10 more people and, at the moment, the only posts should be by new members that want to join or current members discussing the actual league; not discussing what should happen in Blu Ray and getting others to join MORE leagues.

I don't see a problem here. I anyone cheeses, they automatically lose their money and are out. Of course, you must show a highlight of the person cheesing, which isn't hard.
